David Penn: Refraction

I've had an interest in bending metal as of late and have devoted a good amount of my practice time to studying Banacheks methods for cutlery.

I've heard about a UK guy named David Penn. Apparently he has his variation of another performers effect of bending a wine glass inisde of a spectators hand.

Has anyone had any experience with this effect? Is this good for caboret or stage?

Let me know.

thanks,
William Draven

I dont personally own it, however i know of the preparation involved. I dont think it would work so well cabaret or stage, more of a close up effect for say the top table at a wedding.

Alternatively email whatever dealer you are looking at purchasing from or even David himself. Im sure either will be ahppy to help.

If it's just bending you're after, paramiricles just has Mindbender, which isn't too practical in my eyes, great concept, but Penn's take is much better.

For further work on bending, Banachek's stuff is great as you will already have found, Osterlind has some cool ideas and I've got one or two bits floating around also ;)

Oh, and if you can afford to splash out, check out PHORK!:)
