The Decoy gimmick is absolutely ingenious, and nearly impossible to make yourself. Luckily, we include the gimmick ready to go out of the box! You can use it with any kind of deck - whatever your favorite deck is, whether that's standard Bicycle or our shiny new Medallions. Your choice!

No playing card design is perfectly centered - a certain amount of shifting is natural during the printing process, and more evident on thin-bordered cards. If a deck you receive appears hugely off-centered, or cut-off in some way, send us a support ticket and let us know!

All Monarchs since December of 2012 have featured the new thin borders, so if you're a fan of of the thicker border cards, it would likely need to be before that time. Personally, I strongly prefer the thin border design as more of the art can be seen (especially in fans).

There is no forcing and no sleights involved in any way. In some applications, the deck can even be shuffled (by the spectator!) before, during, and after the performance. That's perhaps my favorite application of The Code - a contribution by Steve Cohen.
