In the video he mentions holding the bills at an angle to where they will naturally just kind of fall away from the gimmicked bill. I think this is what you are referring to.
My bad I just rewatched and I guess the "marked bills" do get handed out. Shouldn't be a big issue if someone sees the dots though since it's basically irrelevant to what's going on.
Are you using pencil or marker? Marker shows up better and if you do use it no one will be thinking to look for the dots anyways. Plus the "marked bills" never should be handed out so your spectators should never even see it.
Mark Wilson's Complete Course, Royal Road to Card Magic, Scarne on Cards, and Card College by Robert Giobbi. Jason England has a free download on here where he gives you recommendations on where to start for cards. Good luck!
As a matter of fact he just released a more in depth ACAAN that he briefly talked about the basics about in his lecture. Now excuse me while I try to restrain myself from "add to cart". I have a weird condition where I just have to always buy Peter Turner's releases...
They are hand drawn illustrations but they are good enough to where you can figure it out. You can find Royal Road on Amazon for about $8.90 for the 2015 reprint in new condition. It's about $7 for a used copy.
RealityOne you are a walking encyclopedia just like Josh Burch! In all seriousness though, I envy your book collection. I hope to build mine up like you have. Right now I'm collecting some obscure books from Percy Abbot and Harry Blackstone but their not cheap!
An awesome YouTuber by the name of Da'Mon reviewed No Pressure. If you were curious about this effect you should definitely watch his review because he gives a very in depth analysis and gives some great performance tips. Something great to pick up for the holidays. Cheers!
Peter Turner has a version of this that he does over webcam but I doubt he will ever publicly release it. In some of his lectures I think he may have tipped the method during one of his discussions but there is a lot of boldness involved with it.
Card College by Robert Giobbi and Royal Road to Card Magic are some decent books to start learning the basics card magic. They have a lot of material in there so I'm sure you will find something you like.
My first ever public performance was at a park for kids. Then I was a regular at a food pantry and I would perform coin and card tricks for kids. After about a year I started volunteering at a special needs camp for kids and they gave me a parlour-esque type of show for the last two summers...
