    Hand Sanitizer

There are two thoughts on this. Some magicians will use hand sanitizer to actually help "dry" their hands out if they tend to get the sweaty perspiration thing going. They alcohol helps dry your palms out some; however for some users they do then get that "gummy" feel to them which isn't good.

    Magician revealing someone else's trick

Ethically it is wrong to reveal/expose other magician's effects for the sole purpose to gain notoriety and gain a following on Youtube, however, unfortunately in this day in age of technology, it happens all too often and there really isn't any repercussions for the individuals doing so. Many...

Where do i start in mentalism?

These guys have given you tons of great resources. One thing I may add is that you may want to sprinkle a mentalism effect into your strolling sets. I have 3 different sets of 3 and each one has 1 mentalism effect. I prefer to use this approach rather than mentalism, mentalism, over and over. It...

Stage Magic Can Really be Bad

Stage Magic Can Be Really Bad. This is an interesting title/thought and I've enjoyed reading down through the comments. I would venture to say that All and Any Magic Can Be Really Bad when performed haphazardly with no connection made with one's audience. I concur with Reality One's comment...

    Library Magic?

The public libraries in my area tend to usually have about 5-8 books which "rarely" ever get checked out so they don't ever pitch a fit when you renew them again and again. Ha. Always check out library books. Some real gems are hidden in the older magic books. Where do you think most of the...

Keeping Sponge Balls with Silver Coins?

Agreed. Coins and brass magic items will tarnish greatly in a basement due to the air/moisture. I use Brasso to bring all of my brass items back to a "like new" finish before using them in a gig.

Thanks Josh. I have not seen this yet. I believe is it is similar to Free Will based on reading down through the description. I may have to snag one of these. :)

    Walk around Mentalism trick today

Free Will is very strong when performed correctly. I've been using it for years! Thanks for the shout out Reality One. Ha. Instant reset by placing all items back in your pocket or a little velvet bag and move to your next table or group. A lot of bang for your buck.

    Best To perform with..

Pristine, are you doing close up magic "on" the stage or you are doing close up and then also some stage work? I was just curious because if you are doing close up work on stage or using regular size cards on a stage, they will note be seen without the aid of a camera/screen. Maybe I...

    Help with the muscle pass...

It take a lot of practice, but when done correctly it is a beautiful move. I myself eventually gave up on it. Ha Johnny Ace Palmer did it in front of me a few times and it was seriously like watching a coin float upwards into his hand. It should not look like a toss upwards.

    School Magic

Sharpie version is nicer in my opinion. The cost difference is worth it.

    School Magic

Pencil through dollar and post it note, paper clips linking off of the dollar, iLink for ear buds or levitating ear buds (I forget where I learned this one). If I think of more I'll post later.

    Card Click

Take half the deck and flip it over and perform farrow shuffles over and over. Yes the cards will be face up into face down and you'll have to fix them, but it works.
