    losander floating table

That sounds great Luis. I am not knocking you at all man. I am not as crafty as you so I tend to be the type of magician who just forks out the money....ha ha.

    losander floating table

Two members of my IBM ring have purchased the Losander table and love it. Yes, it is expensive but looks awesome once you put in the necessary time, effort, and commitment. Yes, China has been supplying knock off Losander tables for years and even going as far as using Losander in their demo...

Thank you Chris. Just downloaded it and will be watching it soon. Much appreciated. I hope you enjoyed Magifest!

    Mentoring for a TV Show

Sorry Toby...this sounds great, but unfortunately I have zero TV experience. I'd be glad to do the same as Reality though...ask me any questions or bounce ideas off me. If it were me I'd contact someone like David Williamson or Justin Willman or Justin Flom to see what they can do to help you...

We've been dreaming. The Mystery Box.

Hmmm....interesting. Something at a Distillery or Wine Barrel?

I need help identifying this deck!

Hmmmm....I am not sure if that is a Fox Lake deck or not. Maybe someone who is a collector can chime in. I do know it was a fairly common older deck.

    Reviews for effects

Are you talking about on the Wire here at Theory11 or if you send your product out to fellow magicians to review the DVD, test the effect / prop out and write a review? I'm not sure I'm following what you are asking.

    Business Cards

Chris, yes, they do run a ton of promotions and that is when I do more runs of what I need for sure.

    Business Cards

Justin...that is a little expensive. Most guys I know in our club pay $50 for 5,000 of them. That is full color, glossy, one sided as well.

    Business Cards

I've been very happy with both of these vendors and it is much cheaper than my local Staples or Office Max. Keep in mind though this was after I was happy and knew what my image / design was going to look like from a Adobe Illustrator user that helped me...

    Trying to Start Restaurant Magic

When I perform in restaurant settings I do not have the spectator stand while everyone else is seated at the table. That puts too much additional attention on that person which may make them a bit uncomfortable. I will normally seat myself with the group if there is a chair empty or I will...

    New idea

I'm just going to close this one because obviously it is going nowhere and I think he now realizes he has been called to the carpet. And by all means, no, it is not new.

New kick starter - magician inspired apparel

I understand what you are saying Steer and you are correct. You need to be mass emailing hundreds of people on lists and letting that spread like wild fire. If you don't have those contacts you're dead in the water and will probably only come up with about 1/3 of the cash necessary.

    Nobody likes magic

Its funny as I sit here and read this I am in a hotel in Rochester, New York grading papers in a lobby. Beside me sit a group of 3 people in their 50s working diligently on a group project / presentation. Is it killing me to want to go over and give them a break from their work and do a nice...

New kick starter - magician inspired apparel

Wow...I actually like the design for once. Every time someone posts a kickstarter thread, their deck or apparel is so-so and doesn't look very appealing to a mass market. This design is sharp and clean. Well done. I hope this goes successfully for you.

    Nobody likes magic

Technically you can but again, it comes back to the "cold" approach that you are interrupting someone's day who probably doesn't want to be bothered while they are out at the mall / store or on the street and such. Here's a better suggestion. If you are really wanting to get some performances...

    Nobody likes magic

Well, for one, I would be weirded out too if a random stranger approached my family and I and asked if I would like to see a magic trick. (if I wasn't a magician) One approach would be to have the people come to you. More like a busking situation where you would have a close up table set up...

    20 minute routine

Anything with fire really technically needs to be approved by the Manager or Owner because sometimes they have to have permits for open flame and such. Just something to look into.

    Help me !!!

Luis...Craig is not saying you HAVE to spend that kind of money to have an awesome stage show, however, he is correct in that the bigger illusions do cost up into the thousands of dollars for each individual effect. By all means you can do a stage show with smaller props that only run you a few...
