    Malice in Wonderland!

Well, I feel magic and dramatic theatre are one and the same. Therefore, a dramatic production I feel should be a great educational tool for a magician. After all, it was Robert Houdin who defined a magician as "an actor playing the part of a magician." I hope that's reason enough.

    Malice in Wonderland!

Hello everyone!!! So recently, I've pushed my focus more towards other aspects of theatre... I still love magic but am focusing on my acting and scripting abilities right now. Recently, I was cast as one of the leads in our submission to the Sears Drama Festival... The play is student-written...

    Rubber Ringer by Bill Kalush

Thank you Mr. Henderson... I appreciate comments with content I can actually work off of. You make an excellent point about my scripting... I can and will change it. As for the video, I will remove it soon. Anything less than my best effort is not worth posting.

    Rubber Ringer by Bill Kalush

I have watched the video over and over... I still see no flash.

    Rubber Ringer by Bill Kalush

I don't understand what flash people are seeing... The second phase is angle proof and there isn't anything TO flash.

Cut To Kill by Daryl Martinez

Mr. Draven, I appreciate these thoughts... you make an extremely valid point. The only reason I use such a presentation is that I really dislike effects involving directly cutting to two four-of-a-kinds... the second reveal is, I feel, surprising at first but when considered carefully, it's...

    Rubber Ringer by Bill Kalush

Hey everyone! Here's a quick performance of a visual ring and rubberband routine by Bill Kalush, from Richard's Almanac. Enjoy! Comments are appreciated! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bB_E9iHHehw Michael Kras

    The Confessional

Okay, it's not magic, but it IS theatre. I feel it should count... If not, please do not hesitate to delete this thread. So, for my drama class final exam project, I used an original play of mine called The Confessional and performed the piece for the first time, today, in front of a full...

    Ripped At The Seam

The effect definitely has some cool features to it, but I admit there are also a few cons to the effect... I still use it a lot, because I feel I've got it timed well enough to be at a maximum deceptiveness, but the fact that it has some noteable cons and the fact that it's simply my variation...

    Ripped At The Seam

I know exactly what you're talking about ;) When this originally was around in print form (I think it's floating around in an ebook somewhere) I included numerous ways to end it, so that might help.

    Ripped At The Seam

Hey Guys, It's been a while since I last posted a legitimate magic video, so here's one now. Ripped At The Seam is a torn-and-restored card effect using only one card that is based on the Paul Harris effect "The Ultimate Rip-Off". This effect will appear as a special bonus to people who...

You Know Your a Magician in Trouble if...

Feeling an abnormally sharp pain as you perform it, then removing it with a slight bloody residue... not going to say it hasn't happened to me.

    My Latest Creation

I think the fact that the music swells at a completely insignificant moment in the effect is what makes the video so confusing... I had to watch it twice to even understand what the effect was supposed to me. He didn't do some sort of funky change, he merely turned the deck over.

THAT, good sir... is a trick deck!

With H1N1 and how terrified I am of it, if people ask me to examine my props, I tell them to $%^# off. Ok, not really, but I don't want people touching my stuff at the moment, so I so stuff that requires little hands-on work. No more spreading for card selections, in other words.

What Do YOU Want For Christmas?

Books are pretty much all I buy... it's where nobody else looks :). It takes a rare, special kind of DVD or single effect to tickle my fancy.
