You can use any half dollar sized coin. You do not need to purchase a custom gimmick for different half dollars. It will come with a clad Kennedy, but can be changed with a Walking Liberty or another coin of that size.

It's a cyclic stack, my mistake. Let's say you needed to force an Ace, Two, Three, and Four. If the deck was stacked as so, you can have the spectator cut anywhere in the deck, and the top four cards they cut to will be (in no particular order) an Ace, Two, Three, and Four.
