Self working / Semi Automatic card tricks for a large audience?

I would recommend you take a deeper look into John Bannon, his Move Zero dvds have lots of self-working routines which you can also modify to have some more convincers here and there. His "dealing with it" dvd packs a punch too. There is also the book from Fulves that contains many tricks that...

Classic palming a card...a journey with YOU as my guide

The classic palm is not very angle sensitive. The best angle of course would be directly facing the back of your hand, but keep in mind that even if it is slightly visible, your hand might be completely unimportant with a little bit of misdirection. Generally speaking, as long as you don't bring...

    Card Controls.

I disagree. I find the double undercut unnatural and suspicious. I would rather do a variation of ed marlo’s convincing control plus some false shuffling, or if it is acceptable to have the selection second from top, a bluff pass or marlo tilt.

Video Review: Dealing With It Season 1 by John Bannon

Yeah, it probably is invisible to most spectators, but if you do have identical jokers... might as well. I have also been brainstorming how to transition from cross eyed jacks to Irshkabibble sandwich from Eric Jones.

Video Review: Dealing With It Season 1 by John Bannon

Cross Eyed Jacks is great but there is a small discrepancy. I like to replace the Jacks with identical jokers, just to be sure. Other than that, its a great transpo/sandwich routine. Looks very fair.

Spectator becomes master cheater at cards

A version of this is also included (it is trick # 18. Cutting the Aces) in Karl Fulves Self-Working Card Tricks book. A recommended buy, too, as you will get some other self-working principles you can apply to your magic.

Video Review: Dealing With It Season 1 by John Bannon

I did heart of glass recently without the glass. I got into it using the DL method and did it on a spectator's hands, with proper misdirection and audience management of course. I did not expect his reaction. His face went blank and he was speechless for a couple of seconds. Got a way better...

If You Could Only Have 1 Magic Book, What Would it Be?

I would second this, but only if you have decided to only do card magic.

A problem for magic in the future?

last time i got heckled i swore to myself only to do magic for those who WANT to see magic. dont make them waste your time and dont waste theirs. so if people WANT to see magic, they wont google your tricks, like someone said before.

the club wouldn't be open for anyone who can double lift though. besides, notice how i said now i lost people for the club, I'm not creating a heckler club or a showoff club. this is why I'm disappointed. I'm not going to try to convert those 2 hecklers into magicians. Relax, the reason I...

the saddest part is that you need at least 8 students to be a part of your group to be an official "club" within college... now I'm back to 1. including me.
