SPONGE BALLS are for children, you have to get the patient kids for card tricks. My 6 year old sister pays attention these days so TnR is one of her favorites. But she loves Sponges much more. Here is my 2 cents: Costom decks are not as much for magic as they are for flourishing. I believe custom decks were invented to "look cool". I mean, you can use them for magic, but you better get used to giving the "Oh no you can buy these on special sites online they're completely ordinary"...

It was bound to happen. There are a lot of children that just don't see magic as real anymore! Keep your morale high though! There are even more children that believe in magic... =) It is quite depressing though.

It really is how you use it. I never liked a certain trick that I bought until I saw my friend perform it. It showed me that it CAN be magical and amazing if it fits your style.

I'm sure theyd love it at the counter. Do a little magic to introduce yourself! Then just work in that you can do magic with ANY deck... Ask if they have on for you to use.

Young Asher? Haha. That was a great movie. I'm sure they're fine for magic, but it's just that some effects could potentially harm them or bend them excessively I guess... Not quite sure, but would you want a spectator holding your Jerry's in the middle of a trick? A lot of tricks use spectators...

I have a deck of Gemaco's. They're actually graphic styled backs and have a crown royal bottle on them... They're my parents'. Or were, they gave them to me. Honestly they fan gorgeously and are wonderful to play with. I just... Dont' like the fact that they are purple in the background.
