Do any of you, before you perform, (more for a crowd like a close up show) how do you get a crowed pumped up? like so they cheer and clap alot. i understand this is a performance. but when i perform and i have a good performance of the trick. sometimes the people dont clap and cheer. so...

ive heard of this effect. my friend did a trick. i do it now. where he borrows a pen, writes a prediction. has a card chosen. shows the wrong card. shows the prediction, its a bunch of dots, then he takes a lighter, lights up the paper and the dots rearange/vanish and change into the spectators...

something visual and quick. and short. like a pick a card, loose the card, show an indifferent card, change it into their card.

i ussually slap the kid. or i threaten to send them to the work house. oliver twist style ya know. spare the rod, send the kid to the factory. but usally i start with sponge balls, so it doesnt matter if they touch them ive never had problems with 8 and up tho.

if you want to learn the classic pass. i would pick up ninja from E. thats where i learned the pass. and it gives some nice tips, but keeps the pass open enough for you to work your own style into it
