Freezer Burn by Chris Lafferty (Pre-release Review)

Thanks for the review Mike - When Chris showed me the first incarnation of Igloo I was stunned to be honest, was not expecting that to happen at all! But it did, method is so slick, so simple and Chris and myself worked tirelessly to get everything up to scratch, adding the subtleties like...

Freezer Burn by Chris Lafferty (Pre-release Review)

Hey guys, thanks for the words. 1 word... IGLOO. One of the maddest ice effects I've ever seen, specially after the extra work we did on it - a card is selected, folded in quarters index out, and dropped into a borrowed glass of water. As it submerges is visibly and audibly encases it's self...

    Freezer Burn

I do try ;) And thanks - especially since you used the word 'Cool' - Wait till you see the effects inside... Igloo man is the most mental ice trick I've ever seen, Chris came up with the concept a million years ago and we did some work on it to make it craaaazy :P D.

    Downloading Illegally

hmmmm, I don't believe that learning should be free when it comes to magic... I don't see a problem getting a kid into magic, showing them some basics, but people work incredibly hard on the material they release. The alternative is to create your own magic, then again, it's always good to have...

    Psycho Bills

I just bought it actually to see what it was all about after reading your post, My assumption was some kind of fold in the bill or something, but it's a gimmick. Nothing high maintenance though. I've not tried it out yet so can't really comment, but it looks cool on cam, I imagine it looks...

    Learnt my 1st trick :)

I'm not going to open up an argument, but to be quite frank, who are you to question whether or not I'm immature enough to throw around comments like that in conversation - It wasn't a 'smartass joking comment' in the first place: "No, I don't think we need to go into that side of our...

Looking for help to design my business card

Hey man, the little logo is nice :) I'd say have a play around with the orientation and positioning of the graphics on the vertical card, I find it can look really nice and contemp. putting the info right to the bottom of the card. The contact deets on the back would look nice at the bottom...

    Skullduggery by Luke Jermay

Haha, interesting decision technique there - but good luck with the stuff! When you first watch and see the methods employed, it may appear to be unworkable, For Andruzzi especially! But learn, practice and put trust and belief in what you're doing and it will work out. Drop me a message if you...

    Skullduggery by Luke Jermay

If you're looking for quirky, original magic then the paul harris work is a good choice, but if you're looking to get into a more in-depth side of mentalism than that little dice that goes in the 2 boxes, then have a look at the Jermay work. I've not really used any of the particular routines...

    Learnt my 1st trick :)

Well, again, I don't agree. Some of us are a little beyond throwing comments like that into conversation - but whatever floats your boat!:P D.

    Skullduggery by Luke Jermay

Skullduggery was Luke's first (to my knowledge anyway!) DVD release, 7 deceptions is a book. Yes, there is a correlation in the material, but it's great to see Luke perform these live. I Liked the DVD, it's a good insight into Luke's thinking and the way he combines ideas. Check it out!:) D.

    Learnt my 1st trick :)

Lol No, I don't think we need to go into that side of our relationship ZP31 - This is a magic forum, it's not all that on topic or necessary in my opinion. Either way, we'll get a performance of Lola's QuickSilver sorted over the next few days, Keep the ol' eyes peeled... D.

    Mentalism Routine Voting Open

Some good advice from Brad there!!:) But for the record, The trick it's self isn't flawed - I should know as I designed the script and I've performed it all over the world to stunning result. When the script in the book is followed exactly, or the guidelines at least, the questions are posed...

    None Card/Coin Material

Surprise, Surprise, I'd also look down the mentalism route - there are some great books and DVDs around - Most recently I picked up E.I. to see what wonders Luke had up his sleeves this time and I wasn't disappointed - Nothing revolutionary, but if you've got a little knowledge on the subject...

    Books vs DVDs

I'd disagree on that note - I know of several ebooks on just one technique, let alone a routine which have gone for $1,000. I do agree that some material that is released is pretty worthless, however, there are some incredible 'one trick DVDs' around. I think Liquid metal is a great DVD...

That one trick... What's the name? Please help

I think it is the Harkey idea, yes. Me and Chr!s have been looking into a few things and this is one of them. It's a cool idea, I would probably never thought of using the tools he explains in that way!:P D.
