I like it. A comment on youtube is that a simple double lift would give the same result, I think using that move makes it more convincing.

I've been doing magic since I was 13 (I'm 24 now) but had a break from it and when I got back in to it a couple years ago I did get sucked in to buying lots of the new cards just because they were selling out quite fast. Cards started to build up and I wondered what the hell I was going to do...

I noticed people have been buying lots of cards because...well, because that's what people do these days? But I've never seen sites be offline for hours before.

leeasher.com crashed at the jerrys launch a couple weeks ago. E has been down for hours because of the red artifice launch. DnD will probably be the same story for the release of V6. What is going on? Has card "collecting" become that popular?

Thousands of closeup magicians work events every single day (in the UK), there aren't many theatre's that have classic stage acts on even once a year and even less that make a profit. I haven't seen this kind of magic on tv since Worlds Greatest Magic was airing yet I'm seeing Blaine, Dynamo...

I was saying that people lose interest in this kind of magic after a short time, not magic in general. People will happily sit through an hour and a half show by Derren Brown, Paul Daniels etc...because they engage the audience and it suits modern society more. I think that in this day and age...

You clearly didn't read my post properly. Background is nothing. Dynamo is from a poor background, Alan Sugar, Richard Branson....none of them had a lot growing up. Blaine also performed for years before getting his first tv show, he obviously met or approached the right people at the right time.

Outdated magic. True classical magic but outdated. I enjoy it but the general public can't relate and rarely appreciate it these days. The control he has when producing multiple coloured cards is insane, I really loved that part. People these days get bored of that after 60 seconds though.
