It just depends on what type of computer you have and how much money. On a Mac nothing beats Final Cut Pro, and on a PC I use Adobe Premiere... of course they're expensive as hell. You can get a watered down version of Adobe Premiere called Premiere Elements, but I've never used it personally...

I love it... as people has previously stated, if it fits into your style and routines then get it. To me it's very bulky and I really don't like to carry it around with me that often anymore. I got tired of mishaps.

Scan it, using as high of resolution as possible and clean it up in photoshop. Or get good lighitng and take a high quality high resolution digital picture of the card and then use photoshop to clean it up/darken it.

Just keep practicing. Work on a standard double, then a push off double. Keep doing it a million or two times and eventually it'll look good. When I first started doing DLs I did it over and over while I watched TV or just sat araound BSing with people.

Stage names are pretty much standard. I've used mine for years.... number one because my real name is damned near impossible to pronounce, and two because it allows the name to stick into the spectator/audiences mind.

I like to present the mind as a constant. I present everything as that 90% of minds are the same and I can lead them into what I want them to do because not of "magic" but of scientific knowledge. It's pretty much all BS (not all of it tho) but it gives the spectator something to latch onto...

I'm currently deployed to Iraq. Got the shaft and going to have to stay 15 months instead of 12 this time... oh well, third time in Iraq is the charm I guess.. :) Lots of people at the DFAC waiting in line to do magic for tho.

My first paying gig was at a local bar. I was paid 50$ a night to do magic tricks in a walk around environment. It woulda been great pay probably if I wouldn't have drank 100$ worth of beer every night. :D
