    Cyril's ACR ending - PERFORMANCE!

I haven't seen this one but I am guessing it ends with the signed card face up or face down inside a sealed deck of cards? If so, then Darwin Ortiz has a version of that as well I think in Card Shark.

Do the Bucks have good magic?

The Bottom Deal or any other false deal aren't meant to be magical. They are meant to show skill and has a demonstration. Card to Mouth has been around for decades and really their routine is no different than most others. Having to rework a script or presentation to fit your style is...

How do I get started performing for random people?

Learn a few self working tricks, then before you perform them. Simply go up to the people you wish to perform for, and introduce yourself and ask them if they'd either like to see magic or Ask them if it would be OK if you can show them something.

Do the Bucks have good magic?

That's who they cater to and that's who tends to buy their DVD's. I think it would be possible to perform their stuff for lay people. You'd just have to cut out all the fancy Sybil cuts and leave in the transpo's and other effects they do.

Do the Bucks have good magic?

In order for it to be magic the audience must sit there and think "How did you do that?!" they must be left with no reason. All the exits must be burned out as The Ultimate Warrior used to say. With the Bucks, it's skill and when they try to make it look like magic, it ends up looking silly...

Do the Bucks have good magic?

OK I also saw crunk and it didn't really look like magic. With all the fancy cuts and quick movements, most people would impressed but wouldn't believe that it was magic.

Thoughts on sleight of hand vs. gimmicks

I think gimmicks can work wonders if you use them sparingly and also combine them with actual sleight of hand. The problem that most magicians have with them is simply Magicians Guilt. You think that because you know it's a gimmick or a set up, that people will instantly know. Which isn't...

    Put the cards down...

You want real magic? Then I suggest you look up guys like Alistar Crowley or Chaos Magik, or anything of that matter.

    THIS is how to practice

Akira's pass isn't perfect but then again it was never meant to fool or impress magicians. It was meant for lay people, which is who he performs for mainly. So I can see why some magicians wouldn't like it or would say that it's flawed.

    Put the cards down...

You shouldn't care, because he doesn't perform for YOU. Card magic can be very entertaining to some people.

    I Hate Hecklers!

Sounds like more like you needed to cover your angles and tell her to sit or go over "there" to get a better view. If she kept trying to look at the wrong area, just move your body around or perform it while walking away from her.

    Have you ever met?

Honestly nobody has the right to act like a dick no matter how many years experience they have. If they can't handle that, then they need to find another line of work that doesn't require them to deal with people.

    Plans for Spring Break?

Working on some magic and pretty much relaxing.

    Business section of the site?

I think it would a great idea. It would help people who are thinking about getting into the business and knowing all the ins and outs ahead of time.

You ever think that he just does it for a hobby and because it's relaxing. Not everybody wants to be super star.

    Coin Shell

Just get a Johnson shell. They're pretty much the second best compared to Schoolcraft and in an affordable range ( I think they range from 30-60 bucks.)

    Moveless Magic

Yeah I think a lot of magicians can learn a lesson from Rene Levaland. It's not just the fact that he takes his time and performs everything at a slow casual speed, but it's also the fact that he tells beautiful stories that go along with his magic.
