    The Ethics of Deception

I think it depends on the age of the audience as a primary point that must be considered. Kids believe in magic! Few thinking adults would disagree with this. So doing a show for kids must be presented as magic. Nuff Said on that one! Adults, on the other hand, living in the USA, intuitively...

    Card tricks and silliness?

As with any other art form, if you can take something that seems trivial and turn it into something that truly is perceived as magical you have opened an unending wealth of entertainment that you can offer as your special talent.

If they're not impressed by magic, how does one change that?

Of course you have to consider, if you love something and she doesn't it may be a 'red flag' that your long-term compatibility may not work out. I have been married for over 47 years and counting. I still look forward to each day with my wife and she still amazes me in how we think and feel...

    Promposals

Although we all love good magic, sometimes when dealing with relationships it is better to be bold and walk right up, look her in the eyes and ask her if she would go to prom with you! That makes a real strong statement to her about how you feel... Then if she says yes, have a trick ready to...

Question to Become a Better Magician

I once read a similar discussion where the advise the magician gave was to always have practiced multiple possible outcomes to your tricks. In that way if someone points out that you have something in you hand, turn it over and show them that they are correct, hand them the card and then, make...

Where to make your own deck?

I am no expert on getting custom cards made, but I do know a lot about printing in general. The primary cost in printing is the cost to set up the run. Costs like getting the artwork and plates set up and put into the printer. Also the costs of ink, some scrap, and labor associated with...
