His pushing of his product was not what caused the argument in this incident. It was saying he wanted to know more specific details before purchasing the effect.
You're acting like this is the first incident of Ellusionist censoring. You can bring it up all you want, but they aren't going to change. You can't force someone to change what they believe is correct.
What do you gain from posting there (or on most message boards for that matter?) Most...
I read the thread in question before it was deleted. Basically the poll had two stupid options like, "Yes I will buy the two Ellusionist CIBs" vs. "No, I need to know the method before purchase."
In a ridiculously stupid poll like that, you have two options. Come off as a legit magician by...
Aren't FBI raids only bad when you DON'T hear about them? I thought for the most part when you hear about them on the news, they end up having nothing.
They look nice. Glad Ellusionist decided cards are made for using. I'm not a fan of the red pips (I always thought it was odd that all the hearts/diamonds for the number cards were all red but the court cards would only be red on the pips). But, the Black Ghost deck is pretty much my ideal...
Well, I haven't seen the full effect, but it's pretty much obvious when the 3 seconds of prep time take place. So, right now I'm thinking that it may be a ridiculously simple method that will disappoint people when it is released.
Sounds like Bullet is ultra practical, which is what I look for. The end result is pretty close to the same, and it seems to have all the bases covered.
Factory Sealed looked pretty good and damn clean, but I didn't think it was as visual as some people said it would be. Just my thoughts, but...
E. is going to have to remove the trailers from their side rather than stopping people from posting links.
With such a popular site, it's hard to really hide stuff if people have a knowledge of directories.
Well if you want to go on price alone for the gimmick, you can order a replacement after you buy Distortion and it would come out cheaper than if you bought a Moving Pips gimmick alone. But, I cannot say of the quality of the Moving Pips gimmick (it might be better, I don't know).
And by...
You know how when people say that the magician levitated a foot off the ground when doing the Balducci levitation (funny how perception works)? I think you have to keep in mind some testimonials may be coming from audience members rather than people that know the secret behind the method. I'm...
"If you have already purchased Distortion & would like an additional gimmick, they are available for $9.95. If you would like one, submit a support ticket & let our guys know.
You will need the order ID number from your original purchase or you will need to submit a picture of yourself...
Melt Vanish
Does anyone use Homer Liwag's Melt Vanish taught in Coin One? I've been starting to practice it lately and I think it looks pretty damn good.
If you do use it, do you like the angles? I still have to test just how much I can "show" my hands.
edit: misnamed the vanish

This is the new Abyss. It is not the one that came out years ago.
When the original Abyss came out, the premise of an ungimmicked large coin trapped inside an ungimmicked...
How does sleight of hand help when the audience already has an explanation for your effect, whether it is right or wrong? Even if you try to disprove it, they already "know" how it's done in their head.
Absolutely wrong. Revealing a double lift is probably one of the worst things possible. Just because once the spectator knows what a double is, they always think it is that, even if you are not using a double. They always suspect which ruins the experience. "Oh, that's just two cards there."
