    Most Well Designed Magic Book

Rune is such a funny guy! How can anyone not like his show. Phenomenal magician and entertainer ! I have books with hundreds of pages, from which I use...well almost nothing. And little books such as Card Fiction, from which I use most material. Woody`s "A book in English" is, in that regard...

    Most Well Designed Magic Book

    - A good example of a new book that has great content and excellent design and paper quality is Tom Gagnon`s "Too hot for the devil". - My favorite cover is "A book in English". The cover is the introduction to the first trick in the book ;) - The most physical efficient books I own are the...

The Laser Deal Revealed on Youtube?

Of course he has no permission from Mr.Green to reveal it. The problem is, there is no copyright or patent for sleight of hand moves, just for the medium (you are not allowed to share media from other magicians without permission, or copying something word for word) or material/physical stuff...

    Most Well Designed Magic Book

I picked up "The Complete Walton Vol 1 + 2" last year. I saw the Jason England video "What to read?" and he said these are great books but hard to get (was OOP). Also recommended by Paul Wilson. Davenport reprinted it and it is indeed wonderful. Good quality binding. No flashy cover. Just to...

    Most Well Designed Magic Book

"52 memories" Jack Parker/Andi Gladwin...Vanishing inc. but it`S OOP AFAIK The layout is the best I`ve seen. It`s similar to the Sankey books by Vanishing. Andi Gladwin did a great job. -> Difficulty (only Sankey Books) -> description of the effect -> sleights/props used -> setup (if any) ->...

    Best eBooks on the market?

I don`t know what`s the best, but I really like "The Collected Works of Alex Elmsley 1 + 2". Another favorite of mine "Magic in Mind", which is even FREE. If you want more than just cards (the Elmsley books are mainly cards, but also contains other stuff ), "Carneycopia" is one of my favorite...

    Effect

It looks similar to Sankey`s Topper move. Just a bit different.

    Favorite Old Magic Magazine?

    - Apocalypse, because I can just open any Volume and always find something of interest. Mr. Lorayne should reprint it. - Ibidem. Also a goldmine. - Genii is great, too. You have access to their online library (digital abo). - The Palbearers Review. Have never read it, but many books I own...

The Melt and Reverse Illusion by 97mrdude

Practice doesn`t make perfect. It makes permanent. The RIGHT practice makes perfect. And that`s exactly what Steerpyke and TylerRous refering to. Get away from the youtube path and get real, valuable education, experience and knowledge. It`s a good advise. I know they are right because I´ve...

Does this happen to you too?

Yes. It happens to me, too. I would advice you to read two essays which were helpful to me. Download "Magic in Mind", a free e-book by vanishing inc. and read "The Tyranny of the New" by Eugene Burger and "The Next Book Syndrome" by Darwin Ortiz.

    To beginner magicians.

I think you refer to the recent "spam" in this forum and you`re absolutely right. Sometimes it`s interesting to watch a performance on youtube, someone showing a "new" idea or asking for help or something like that, but most of the time, it`s not. Especially not tricks shown to the camera...

    Guitar and Card Handling

Jason Ladanye teaches guitar, piano and harmonica and is a professional card magician with great soh-skills. He is a student and friend of Darwin Ortiz and it doesn`t seem that playing the guitar has harmed his dexterity with cards in any way.

    Signed Cards, T&R, ...

    1. Wich deck do you use mostly? If possible, a borrowed deck. This is the cheapest solution ;) No seriously. If possible, use a borrowed deck. Just don`t do any effects with signed, crimped or torned cards. Otherwise, I only use normal bicycles. I´m not a fan of these new fancy decks. Another...

    Revealing Magic on a Forum

Well I think that`s because it`s hard to really come up with a new effect. Everything has been done in one form or another. For example Dani DaOrtiz. In essence, this is "just" a Triumph variation, an effect that has been done and known for decades! So of course most effects today are mainly...

    Revealing Magic on a Forum

Quoted for truth. I have a relatively big collection of magic books (120+) (I love and collect books in general, not just books about magic) and very few DVDs. In fact, there is so much material between these pages that I have never seen (and hopefully will never see) @youtube & co or revealed...

What's the most ridiculous magic argument?

"He`s a real magician`s magician" As if that would be a good thing. Who the **** cares about doing magic for magicians ? I don`t.
