    RIP Harry Anderson

He came into the magic shop I was working at once. Sadly he got recognized and skeedaddled. He was inquiring about a color changing handkerchief for his small child and I have always regretted not just giving him one as he hurried out the door. I saw his stage show once too which was quite...

    What Is This Trick?

I refer you back to the above replies. BTW, I was referring to the book titled "The Berglas Effect", not the effect itself. Though that is actually not where I suggest you start. The other suggestions are indeed more appropriate.

    What Is This Trick?

I don't know what version he works from, but the Asi Wind version would do it. The Berglas Effect also explains this quite well. Learn as many versions as you can and it will make sense.

    Brainwave or Invisible Deck ?????

ID is strong, the spectators will not be left wondering why the color of the back did not change as well. It does not need to be improved upon, even if you feel that BW does that. ID is more fool-proof and requires less focus on your part while performing, I find this to be a big point in its...

    Performing too clean and flashy.

I have been pondering the same issues. I have come to the conclusion that 'invisible' is the level of proficiency that comes before 'natural'. I am trying to add casualness as opposed to sloppiness, but that may just be a matter of how we phrase it.

    Shuffle Simulators

I use both the Faro Shuffle Simulator at Natedog.com and StackView and would recommend them to anyone looking for such a thing. They are however both looking a bit old, but I have not found much else. Has anyone found newer or better shuffle software?

Decent Place To Start For Card Magic

Yes, he teaches several 'magic' techniques as well as 'gambling' ones. The videos are available individually as well as bundled. I find they complement my print library well. Search old threads for more discussions of them. As with everything else, try one and see how you like it. Let us...
