Wait, Why would they steal your cards and magic DVD's. Even if they were going to use it for drugs. I doubt you could get anything for the cards and magic DVD's. They'd have a better shot at making money from stealing your electronics and other things.

I wouldn't call it unethical. The clients or strangers don't know you and really you're not going to say "I Learned this from a magic DVD." because it sounds silly and doesn't sound that entertaining, and I highly doubt anybody is going to try to check up on stories you tell.

Depends on who you lie to. Friends and family know better but if you are doing a paid gig or strangers. Then they have no clue, just make the lie some what reasonable.

Well I haven't finished reading it but I'd think the Coins to Glass stuff is still good (just don't use the patter in the book. You'll end up sounding weird and kind of stupid.)
