Sleight of hand vs Sleight of mind

You talked about youtube. Let me just say that I dont think there is good magic on youtube either, let alone mentalism. About resources, maybe I dont have enough knowledge but for example for something like card magic and card sleights there are a lot of resources that give you a solid...

Sleight of hand vs Sleight of mind

I dont do mentalism that much, and there are quite a few reasons for that: Mentalism is more delicate compared to magic. You need to put much more work in the presentation than the method. A lot of great mentalism pieces have almost no method but need great performance. Whereas in something like...

    Instant Replay

I wouldnt think so. They have different mechanisms. Honestly I think if you do the top shot right, it is magical and they would have no idea where the card came from while instant replay is a fancy way of showing your skill. Alex pandrea has a move in his youtube channel that uses both of...

    Tell me what you think.

I guess you can achieve it in a simpler way. Record the home screen for a few hours so that the percentage of your battery drops quite a bit. Reverse the video and play it on 2x speed and voila! You can now visually increase your battery percentage.

    Instant Replay

My personal favorite is a variation by kevin ho called backdrop. It is a paid product on dan and dave website called one card ep but they gave it away for free on a video called flourishes for magician on treasury of wonder channel(taught by franco pascali) It is really similar to the original...

I usually put my shooting hand higher than the receiving hand and at an angle. The main thing I can say is, try learning to properly shoot the card before attempting to catch it. This move allows you to really control the distance and being face up/down pretty accurately. I can not tell you how...

Hand size and Cardistry, myths and reality

What you said would be encouraging, but honestly, the main thing about judo flip is that the official tutorial is rather incomplete. I love fontaine cards and their creators but even though judo flip has become popular, it is their weakest production. It is the trial and error to find out you...

    Russian roulette

Thanks for your answer. When I say close up, I basically mean not for stage. For example most of the spiked routines would be better on a stage and not as effective when you are performing for a bunch of friends and stuff.

Hand size and Cardistry, myths and reality

I have fairly long fingers and my overall hand size isnt gigantic but not too small either. I dont consider myself to be a master or anything but when I was starting out, despite my long fingers I had the exact same problems in the first 3 or 4 months. Cardistry is a difficult art form which...

    David Blaine Psychological Card Forces?

I tried some Derren brown style forces and it usually works 60% of the time. One thing to say is that what you see on tv is never the full trick. Maybe he physically forced the card but they cut it out. Maybe he usually as you said "Peter Turner style" suggestion but they cut it out. And...

What is the most practical russian roulette routine out there? I am looking for something not heavily gimmicked an more of a close up effect not a stage one.
