If you perform for audiences, then of course you should learn audience-pleasing moves, but you should also learn the moves that you like. When you're happy, you give a good performance. :) Personally, I learn every single move I can get my hands on. :) -Vince

Technically it's been 1 1/2 years. For the sake of being nit-picky. :o Kind of a low blow, man. Cut these guys some slack, they're new, and they're curious to know things like what flourishes people like. :) -Vince

Honestly, who cares if the audience can't tell the difference between two given moves? If you want to learn them both, do it! This art is as much for your enjoyment as it is for the audience's. -Vince

I agree on some of the other points, but this isn't quite correct in my opinion. The starting position and getting-into of the Carnahan varies significantly from the Flipback fan or Indicies fans, thus allowing the execution of the Carnahan to take place from positions or circumstances that the...

    Some Fanz

Good job. I noticed that on some shots, your one-handed smear fans were round, but they weren't on others. Work on always having your smear fans round. Also, you forgot to credit Scott Watters for Osiris (as Allan said) and Ciappi for the Palmback fan. -Vince

He's probably referring to the fact that when some magicians are doing a trick they refer to a common object as an "ordinary" object. "I have this ordinary half dollar". -Vince

    Ulmen?

Please no discussion of "Are the trials a gimmick? Are they not?" here, that will only lead to argument. Rick, according to De'vo no one has completed the Ulmen Trials yet. -Vince

    Help for a beginner?

Creeper, simmer down, he asked an honest question. :) The Tornado cut is officially published in the "Tornado DVD" by Ashford Knetiel (sp?), you can buy it from a man named Lonnie Dilan. I don't know Lonnie's e-mail though, does anyone else? As far as a tutorial goes, I don't recommend...

Not sure, but the concept of it is similar to a move by Scott called "Osiris". -Vince

    Ulmen?

Cerberus is correct. Also, I'm pretty sure Ciappi only completed step one that year. De'vo will probably tell you that they have. You could ask him. He seemed pretty calm to me, and while he SHOULD practice what he preaches, he also has a BIT of a point, though De'vo has gotten a bit...

Oh you know that you copied that right off of 4Jacks. :p But anyway, Right on, man... right on. -Vince

    Ulmen?

Nope, because all of those moves are being done as they are advertised as being done. Nothing that aids the performer is being kept secret from the viewer. :) I'm not sure. In both of the foot shuffle performances, his shuffles were pretty blocky, it might be hard to bridge that. -Vince

How do you name a Flourish?

One more reason not to do that. Lol. Especially considering that one of the main ingredients in Fanning Powder can cause some sort of lung problem if it's inhaled too much. I think. But inhaling anything except air is bound to have some sort of adverse reaction. ;-P -Vince

    Ulmen?

The footshuffles done in the CTG DVD and that video are both done by Jerry Cestkowski, not De'vo. Also, the bridge at the end of the foot shuffle in the CTG DVD was a set up, notice how it cuts away from the shuffle, then back to the bridge? He weaved the cards with his hands first, set them up...
