    Cups and balls

If you are using a larger ball load, you can use a ball holder. There are metal ones made by Day and Vernet. The one I use is from Lynetta Welch at fabricmanipulation.com.

    Which deck is this?

If you can post a picture of the back of the deck, that would be helpful. Also, feel free to PM me with the other attributes of the deck -- how it is gaffed and what effects can be performed with it. That would help me track it down. My first thought was it was Deland's Automatic Deck, but...

Ok scholars, who wrote the book I am describing?

As an aside, for younger kids, you may want to check out Joshua Jay's Big Magic for Small Hands, Karl Fulves's Easy to Do Magic for Children and Richard Kauffman's Knack Magic Tricks.

Ok scholars, who wrote the book I am describing?

It is either Jonny Jones: or Lawrence B. White: I'm unable to find any of the Lawrence White books for sale picturing the 1972 original cover -- it looks like all that is shown is a nondescript cover with a caveat that "this is not the book cover." I'd contact the sellers for a picture of...

    Goshman Pinched hard!

Modern Coin Magic was published in 1952 and the copyright wasn't properly renewed so the copyright lapsed. The New Modern Coin Magic was published in 1966 and contained the original book plus 155 additional pages - the Goshman Pinch being on the 9th of those additional pages.

I was wondering if anyone has read Ellis Stanyon?

My bad. I was thinking of the Kauffman and L&L reprints... not the originals. You are correct, the originals are in public domain because they were published between 1900 and 1920.

    Nerves

    1. Rehearse so that anything that can go wrong will go wrong in practice and rehearsal 2. If something goes wrong in rehearsal try to recover as if it a real show. 3. Practice not until you get it right but until you can’t get it wrong.

    Scariest part of performing?

I don’t get nervous before a performance but instead get anxious - I just can’t wait to get out there and start. My performances are completely scripted. I design the scripts so that I’m typically talking for several sentences before I introduce the props. Talking to my audience and getting...

I was wondering if anyone has read Ellis Stanyon?

Ella: Any copies of Magic magazine that are out there for free are being shared illegally. My suggestion is to register for an account at lybrary.com and then access the Learned Pig Project through your profile page. It costs nothing to register. The Learned Pig Project digitized books that...

    New Effect

Technically, a copyright doesn't cover an invention. Rather, it covers an artistic work. Patents cover an invention. Further, all you need to have a copyright is to publish the material with a "© 2018" and your name in the document. What you are suggesting would be proof of the date of...

What is needed to create the gimmick? Wood working skills, metal working skills, 3D printing, plastic injection molding, card splitting skills, printing skills? That really is what decides how you do that.
