Just a bit of practice and you should be able to do a fan immediately afterwords. I had more trouble with the popover then the fan afterwords.:D It's also easier to fan with your index finger instead of your thumb. That way you don't have to reposition the deck. Hope this helps.

Same here, but I never use it in a routine (since that one day:p). I usually use it when I see someone looking out of the corner of their eye at me when I'm playing around with cards. It always gets their attention:). Recommended just for that use.

I've had the exact same problem before, but the only suggestion I have is to find something high enough to put your laptop on (safely that is). I'm able to borrow a camera from someone, but if you can't, I guess you'll just have to make do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.:rolleyes:

I got some in December (I know, not the last few weeks), but they are exactly like you described. Very thing, papery, and they clump like nothing else. About a week of working them in and they sort of fanned better. (They had a black seal if I remember correctly)
