    Loki | Dee Christopher

I have pieces at 3am and have been performing Loki on a regular basis. I can attest that Loki is a real worker, anytime-anywhere impromptu miracle. No peeking, free choice of which chip and which pocket...it's devilishly easy, and blows peoples minds.

    New Website - Now Finished

It doesn't look bad. You're probably going to want to cut the fat out of what you've written, I can PM you a sample of what I would try to do. I would also edit the 'about' section, it's not a bad bio, but just trim it some (your clients don't need to know you started out with beginner, self...

    Back to the Basics

I am always refining and looking for ways to improve my DL's, palms, and shuffle techniques (overhand). A good way to practice is to create tricks using them and practice/perform them so you can use them constantly. I've gotten over going back to the basics and just stick to them in most...

    A Quick ACR Question

Even if you don't perform it, it's a good way to learn structure in the way of routines and effects. It's excellent for learning how to be one ahead of a spectator as well. Every phase can be different and surprising, as well as impossible. Finding an ending is usually the hardest part. Braue's...

    Coin Bend

I perform a standard utility switch with a slow, visual bend that was taught on Go Magic Go! (I forget what episode) It looks great and works well. I've also had great success with Dee Christopher's Syn. It's a double coin bend, one visually and one in the spectators hand. This is a...

    carbon paper help

Put the warped cards in the middle of, or underneath, a thick book and let it sit for 24 hours, should help flatten them. Encyclopedias are worth having around! Who knew?

    Cerca Trova Ideas

Let's be creative. Morgician had a few threads that were about creating presentations for effects that were hard to routine. Sponge balls was one of them. Pick a trick everyone knows, or list 3 or 4 that many people know, and challenge everyone to come up with a presentation that's never been...

    Beginner?

That 4 dollar Tarbell course is disheartening. I'll stick with the real books though, not the PDF downloads. As far as material for beginners...it's been said. Mark Wilson and Josh Jay have great beginner books, Royal Road to Card Magic is a great starting point with tons of information.

Uses for Pinochle Decks and Blank cards?

Blank cards work wonders if you put your imagination to work. Erasing the ink off of a card or having a though of card appear on the face of a blank card. Pinochle deck's are good to buy for doubles since you get 2 10, J, Q, K, and A of each suit. Just a few thoughts.

SLR + SLR Slims (Souvenir Linking Rubberbands) - Paul Harris

Very nice review. I've been meaning to pick this up, but never liked the bands and probably didn't because of it. The slims do look better, and if they handle better than more power. Great review, and thanks for the pictures-you can really see the difference.

    Rubik Notes by Mark Elsdon

I gotta give it to him, he's a pro. He only looked at the cube for like 10 seconds before starting, which is ridiculous. A lot of the guys who do it in 10 seconds(2handed) will stare at it for a few minutes before starting to make sure they know the sequence. And there are a few different...

    Tinychat.com

I'm on the east coast, I'm busy some Tuesday nights (indoor soccer league...gotta watch my girlish figure) and that's about it. Nighttime is better. so ...6-1am EST. (though the later it is the more in trouble I get with my girlfriend, just so you know)

    Rubik Notes by Mark Elsdon

I didn't see anything about using a blindfold in Rubik Notes... I already have work on blindfolds though and can apply it easily. I will say the added presentations are awesome. All three are workers and the paper bag is going to be a great opener for set acts O_O. Oh yeah, totally...

    Ideas about Control

Well you were fishing for ideas about an effect that literally pays Wayne's bills. If you want to know how it's done, just buy it. The method you came up with is pretty old, but holds some merit. You are cutting off blood to your arm though, which could be dangerous if done improperly or too...

    Guardians... no support?!

I agree with Keoke, not the first time, about gaffs. If you want gaff cards then you can make them yourself. Ultra-Mental Decks are quite easy to make, as I only ever bought one (before I knew the principle) and realized I could make my own. I've made DB and DF cards, also experimented with...
