I only watched your Hoffzy Ozbourne performance, and it would definitely would be 100x better with patter. I liked it, you didn't flash one and it was very smooth, but this trick NEEDS dialogue, or else people who don't know it will find it harder to follow along. Nice though.

A gig is simply a place where one performs. Be it a magic performance, a musical performance, etc. There's often a moderately large audience (10+, i'd imagine).

To me, only trouble with showing a video is people may think it involves some sort of editing. It's something that happens, no matter how stupid it sounds. You've gotta provide some proof that it's not. Talking over the video is a good one, and a trick's always 10x better with patter. So yeah...

Find Nicholas Einhorn's website (easy enough, just google it) and buy his "Art of Magic and Sleight of Hand". It teaches all the basics in every area of magic so you can then make a decision on which type to do. It's the book I started with and I think it's fantastic.

I agree - I think Invisible Deck next. :) But don't perform it yet. Build each effect up before you perform it - give it a couple of days. Let them get themselves hyped up, and by the time you're performing Stigmata, you'll have a huge crowd dying to see you perform.
