    White LE Bicycles.

They're alright. Handle about the same as Bicycle 'Standard' decks. They do look nice, I'm wondering when they'll make 2 of 10 (on the back it says 1 of 10.) :-/ -Rik

    Who Are You?

Damn good perspective. I will leave my earlier post and possibly edit it later, but I'm glad you shared this, it really does get one thinking. Hmmm... -Rik ps. I believe you typed 'thy' where you meant to say 'they' 4th paragraph, in parenthesis. (:

    Who Are You?

My character is an offshoot of several personality traits. Wit and sarcasm play a big role in a lot of my tricks, I've always been both quick and smart enough to effectively be sarcastic in a subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) way. Always play to your strengths, eh? Intelligence helps mold...

How to carry magic for restaurants...

I don't have a restaurant job...but I do have this same case and want to second it. It is wonderful for holding everything you need. It's relatively inexpensive as far as cases go and isn't very bulky either. I'm pretty sure it's aluminum too, so it's very light-even when full. -Rik

    The Challenge Nobody Will Take

I just wanted to say that I don't even know how I would approach this challenge. I won't be taking it, but will definitely use the next 4 hours of work to think about it. I hate having no work to do...so bored. (: -Rik

    Comparison of Double Lifts

I don't know about CC2 or AoM, don't own either. Just using muscle memory being able to lift two cards is something my friend developed. I do a push-off, still not perfect but performable (brief eye contact while I execute...misdirection is fun). I also use the pinky count for triple lifts...

    Strange Change

Too much cover, could see something going on before you covered, actual change was performed well, but I don't think it's something most magicians would use. There are a lot of changes that are just as visual and require almost no cover. Congrats on creating something, keep that up, but maybe...

    Secure Your Valuables

After playing around, I think coins are best to be vanished, and it can be turned over and shown empty. I don't know if I'm doing it exactly like you are, but I like the effect as an impromptu 'let me see you hat, and do you have a quarter' type of trick. if you did this and then had a way to...

    Black Wynn Deck

Go to a custom card making company (bicycle does this service) and send in a wynn picture, only colored black. hope this helps. -Rik

    Secure Your Valuables

I'm going out on a limb and saying No. Borrow a cap... Very nice. I didn't like the sudden movement...but will PM if I feel inclined to ask about it. (: Will be playing around with my cap now. -Rik

    Hello all!

Welcome Sean. I don't know what else to say...except that I'm not the person to ask for flourishing advice... I'm able to answer any other questions you might have, unless they're complicated...I don't like to use my brain too often. Save it for when I really need it. ;) All jokes...

Rate the idea of this card trick ...

I have to agree that there is no justification for the shrinking. If you have or can create a presentation around it so that shrinking it makes sense, then it looks decent. In the minute I thought about it though (admittedly not enough time) there were no justifiable reasons to shrinking a deck...

    Cerca Trova Ideas

Is being 'human' more of a connection? Fail/succeed tricks are great, but do they seem planned or like cover-ups? Do they really help you connect or as a performer? What other tricks could hinder you? Reasoning. Why do spectators always pick the ambitious card? Should we personify cards? Do you...

    Creating Flourishes

Just moving cards in absurd ways can help spark something. Start with something familiar and then try to do something you've never seen, 90+% of the time it fails or doesn't look good. But every once in a while you get somewhere. BAWI has good suggestions too, I like stopping in the middle...

North Carolina Magicians - Meet-Up Interest

I live in Durham, would love to meetup. If it's after the 15th of August I'll actually be living in Raleigh (yay moving). -Rik

What was the first effect you learned?

Haha I still use 'turnover card' sometimes too, that little book has some good material in it. I want to say my first trick was where spec takes card, slides it back in and poof! it's reversed. I think 'poof!' was my selected magical phrase anyway. I do a similar effect now...only I use...

    Magic Table

Just picking up everyday objects and playing with them can create tricks, I recently *cough*yesterday *cough* came up with a closeup 'linking rings' with paperclips. Still working out the kinks, but I have a method. Just working towards practicality and possibly a just as magical 'unlink'. As...

    An Essay on Gospel Magic

Very good essay. I use to attend a Southern Baptist Church and ended up in a more 'free worship' Christian Church while at college. I did a few magic tricks for some of the members, but never a show for the entire church. One of my favorites was Healed and Sealed, not originally my idea-saw...

    Sleeping Queen :: Dan Hauss

I hope you practice the handling and wing the performance aspect...I don't approve but don't feel like arguing against it right now. As for the effect, it does kill. It's very simple in method and handling and Dan Haus goes over everything to make it as simple as can be. The reactions are...
