    Religious Themed Act

    Lol at where this is going. I once saw someone explain salvation (christian faith) with Sealed and Healed soda can. Flash paper with hidden lighter...hmmm...kind of stuck on this one right now. I once saw (I think) a wand that ignited flash paper or flash cotton or something like that...

    theory11 - GLITCH by daniel+Madison :: RELEASED

    Oh, and to those who asked 'how is it different.' Without noticing the grip, T11 wouldn't put it out if it wasn't different in some way. They're not that kind of company. and one should always remember to pay close attention because "the devil is in the detail". -Rik

    theory11 - GLITCH by daniel+Madison :: RELEASED

    Just by one look and jumping over here. the grip is totally different. And it's closer to the click change, which is DnD's instant cleanup snap change. It runs a close line...but it's definitely pretty, I might have to pick it up sometime this week.

    Your Opinion

    I'm going to second Sinful's suggestion. Looked good to me, but I've not worked with any bill switches, nor have I seen them all. I like it though. -Rik

    Time spent practicing?

    I second this motion and will add that this also works for memorizing flash cards, lines for a theatre production and/or anything else you might need to memorize. with plays and such, always highlight Your lines though, instead of learning everyones you'll espeically learn yours. And...

    Time spent practicing?

    You'll get better no matter how much you practice. You'll get better faster if you practice more (and are practicing the moves correctly). I've only been flourishing seriously for a month or so now. I play with cards while reading topics here, watching tv, while my girlfriend reads at...

    Maybe you guys can help

    Also, as a side note, I want to say d+M uses what he calls 'dead revolution'. Or this is what he used/called it in the Lethal dvd. (don't own motion, sorry if this is incorrect). The main difference being, revolution starts one handed dead rev. starts two handed (placing top packet) and...

    Two questions about decks...

    A) Suspicion only comes if you start it. 90% of people who think a deck is not normal is because a magician went out of their way to say 'This is not a trick deck'. The majority of people don't know about trick decks at all. B)Tally-Ho's get my vote. Still play with bikes occasionally. I...

    Wynns or Absolut Deck

    Whoa Whoa Whoa... you can calm down. A)I don't own Absoluts or Wynns, mainly because I've tried Wynns and don't particularly like thick stock and someone told me Absoluts are a (much) better finished Aviators, which are too thin for me. B)You didn't ask the question. What if my opinion...

    Why are we clones?

    Simple. Everything we copy from artists today is the product of them copying from the magicians before them. They eventually came into their own and created original magic. I can't create something new and original if I don't have a firm grasp on what's been done before me. With that said, a...

    Question about cardistry

    Has anyone ever thought that a flourisher's audience consists primarily of other people who flourish? We practice and get really good, we enjoy it so there are no regrets, we show other people who do the same thing so that they can enjoy it. I don't know about anyone else, but nothing...

    Wynns or Absolut Deck

    Talley-Ho No. 9's. (Blue Fan Backs ftw!) (or be like most everyone else and choose circles...) Cheaper, last pretty long, are in fun middle of the spectrum (imo) fan pretty well and are thick enough to cut with but super-thick. Did I mention cheaper? and Always available! 2cents. -Rik

    Grown Apart - Flourishing Video

    To start, there are no excuses. :) Pretty good, the whole feel of the video was nice. Decent variety for a first video, most of the ones that say 'first video' have like 3 cuts over and over. Everything is there. You have the moves. The same thing everyone says ( and will tell me...

    Cards - What do you do with the seal?

    Never had XB, but I've always torn along the 'moon' shape also. I think my dad showed me how, or maybe it was my grandpa.

    Practice makes perfect...

    Well the first step is admitting you have a problem. *Charlier cuts cards* If you can admit *revolution cut* that you have a problem...an addiction, you can move to the *Five Faces of Sybil* second step. I however, do not have a problem. *Jackson five* jk... but really...I don't.

    Practice makes perfect...

    Haha. I just recently decided to take flourishing past side-hobby (though it did very well in helping my ability to do sleights) and have been reading posts while practicing. Tis' fun. And hello to everyone, I shall be in this section more often now. Too bad you wont see any of my...

    I need tricks!

    yeah... Daniel Madison's new notes Collateral have some good walk around type tricks. Trilogy's tricks are also a good option, actually they rock pretty hard. Browse the 1-on-1's? There are a lot of little gems in there. or maybe.. the Royal Road to Card Magic...a lot of the stuff...

    Forces

    I'm going to second the Classic Force. Spread cards from hand to hand, they pick any one they want, you somehow know what their card is. Card College Vol. 1 has a pretty good explanation of it, it's where I learned to love it. I think the Royal Road to Card Magic teaches it also. Heh...

    Card to box

    I have to agree that boxer is a great card to box routine. As to what you're saying...getting a signed card to box without touching it is difficult impromptu. You can probably touch it once, pull it from your pocket or move it from a table to someones hand...and make it seem like you...
