i like to practice when ever i get the shot. doing a lot of dry sleight movement, refining the sleights by analyzing my motions. then i like to dry run through effect talking through my patter at the same time. often times i like to perform along with the DVD. (if i'm working from a DVD)

what books do you have? what effects do you perform regularly? what is your most difficult sleight? just getting warmed up ;) might as well list your card magic DVDs as well

the more you can do in both hands the more you'll be able to create. (and perform already created material) so yes but thats a huge undertaking. you've got alot to learn anyways, especially if you go for ambidexterity

i once practiced stacking four aces in one riffle shuffle while in a straight jacket hanging from the golden gate bridge upside down with bridge size plastic cards. for 11 hours with 11 pigeons pooping on my head. while 11 passerbys watched in awe. in -11 degree cold. does that count?

oh and make sure your classic palm is half way decent before you even start performing. please. walk around with the starfish hand if you have to.
