what i mean to say is, would holding a pack of cards and seemingly creating these 'miracles' with them would have a greater effect rather than flashing them in XCM, then creating the 'miracles'.? There's a lot of training involved in XCM, and the spectators can tell that by how smooth you do...

Would it be better to go up to an audience and perform magic, or would it be more beneficial for you (as the magician) to dazzle them with XCM first before going onto a routine? seems like an easy question, but it gets a lot harder- I think the whole point of magic is to convey seemingly...

i'd say so as well. ive done a lot of effects to blow people away, card productions, Self tying shoelace, 2 card transpo's. etc. i havent gone into non-card magic though. but stigmata seriously sealed my reputation.

i performed stigmata for a crowd of 15 people 2 weeks ago, they are still talking about it in college, how that '7' appeared on my arm. Unfortunately, i rarely perform stigmata, and therefore it sort of turned into a scar-like wound. (Lack of experience with the effect.. which sucks, but hey...

Just ask him to move. Politely. say he can get a better view of the trick if he stands here *and physically move him/her there. but not forcefully, more suggestively* May i add this is also a good opportunity to do push over breaks, palms, etc. as it totally misdirects the spectators.
