    Doug Hennings and Criss Angel's Vanishing Legs

    Wouldn't the pacing be better if you only moved the first one, found the sheet, did the illusion, then put the sheet back in the second box and walked off with it?

    Why do you want to see magic?

    An answer that I could get from virtually any magician. Why should I pick you over them? I don't know you from Adam. Why on earth should I book you over every other magician making the exact same claims? If you don't have an answer yet, admit to it. There is no shame in that. Admission of...

    Why do you want to see magic?

    There's certainly a strong case for that, but why should they want to see you instead of someone else? If you don't have an answer, just admit it. I do not pass judgment on those who willingly and humbly admit to their ignorance, only those who try to cover it. Notice that those films...

    The Trilogy part II or CC2

    Absolutely. Most of the moves taught in that DVD are still standard in many working magicians' ACRs. It's proof that a good presentation with uncomplicated mechanics goes a lot further than the latest and greatest with no personality.

    I've got about 10 other local guys with the same rates as you who claim the exact same thing. Next!

    Risk and Reward

    First of all, we're getting a bit off the point. How does this in any way contradict my hypothesis about why magicians are using flashier trailers as opposed to the kind you see for Sinful? If anything, it seems to prove me right. Second, why are you apologizing for trailer weasels?

    Why do you want to see magic?

    Well whoop-dee-doo! I remember my first trip to the Smithsonian at age 6 better than I remember the first magician I ever saw. This is part of the problem. Magicians are so god damn arrogant that they think their ultra-generic card tricks are enough to coast on for an entire career. They...

    Why do you want to see magic?

    Makes me wonder why it's so hard to work professionally as a magician? Oh right, because it ain't that simple! Durr! I've continually told every person on this board that if you want to perform you need to remember your spectators are all asking, "What's in it for me?" To this day, I've...

    Doug Hennings and Criss Angel's Vanishing Legs

    Not camera editing this time. However there were some suspicious moments in the way you shifted your weight and in your general body language. I don't doubt this could be a very effective illusion, but you made some very subtle mistakes. Try this: when practicing the illusion in front of a...

    And you think piracy is caused by not being able to figure out a trailer?

    Wounded - b.Smith :: Review

    No. You didn't. Spare me. Assumptions are a major part of how we evaluate and quantify our perception of reality. And to err in one's assumptions is commonplace and more often than not an entirely trivial issue. Assumptions are only demonized in a vain attempt to create the illusion of...

    April 2009 :: Proudly Presenting

    The book that everyone starting out in acting should read is "An Actor Prepares" by Constantin Stanislavski. It is arguably the first formal text on the craft of acting and what inspired Lee Strasburg to form the style of method acting. From Stanislavski, it should be pretty simple to branch...

    I don't know why, but I'm going to go ahead and believe you. So, in answer to your question (which needed a question mark, by the way), I'm like the rest of you in regards to my original statement. Make of that what you will.

    A big part of my own work. Nothing irritates me more than John Doe and Mary Sue performers. Welcome to my world.
