    Goals

This is a small exert from my upcoming PDF release on Theory11's Wire "How To Get Gigs, And Keep Clients". I've expanded upon the original essay, that is (for now) found here on the General section of the forum. I've included a 9th chapter on Goals which was removed from the original work, and...

    The WIRE

I've already decided that my first wire submission will be a theory PDF revamping my "How to Get Gigs, and Keep Clients" essay. I've expanded upon the chapters, included valuable document templates, added new imagery, and even wrote a brand new mysterious 9th chapter that I left out of the...

    Approving for The Wire

Reward without Risk is fruitless. Take a chance, and see what happens. Either way you're bound to learn something.

It's in the book Penumbra 3. Try looking for that.

    The WIRE

Because the system is not ready for it yet. Instead of complaining why don't you focus on making sure your videos are the best, well edited, well credited, and up to theory11 artist quality? Anything new, is bound to have bugs no matter how much testing you put into it.

Edited: I asked a dumb question.

    Names For A Mentalism Show

I didn't know there was a Marc Salem or a show already called Mind Games. Well scratch that off the list then.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

I'm pretty sure those first five that you see by the T11 artists are just seeds to get the thing going, and provide examples of what T11 expects from submissions. I'm sure they'll change once more, and more material is uploaded. You're right. I do see a lot of threads spamming the forums...

    Names For A Mentalism Show

I like "{Artist Name} Presents: Head Games" It also has an 80's rock song with the same name (I believe) that would make for a cute pre-show theme song of sorts.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

I really think everyone is really being too critical of the entire thing. From everything that I've read, and the massive amount of private communications I've had with the Theory11 team behind the scenes, this entire Wire project really is going to do more good than it will do harm. I know...

Checking for Interest in Geek Effects

Would there by any interest within the community if I were to produce some geek magic for download on the Wire? I'm thinking about filming my handling of the Human Blockhead, Animal Traps, and Eye Kernel. I'm just doing a little market research first before I go tossing my hat into the ring.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

Well I can submit some material almost right away, but my true worth won't be useful unless I can submit videos on theory, motivation, sales, and marketing.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

I'm pretty sure that unless a NDA is signed that information is considered public to anyone smart enough to know how to do the right kind of digging. If the company's reputation is strong enough, then people will still sign with them regardless of the price they ask, soul, arm, leg, or...

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

Why not? If we are going to open up the flood gates for people to self publish for profit, then I think they should be given the information about what else is out there in case they get itchy about not getting a good deal.

Up to 70% are you serious?! Why would anyone sign on to such a contract? That's just... wow. Compared to that the wire is a steal.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

That's a good point Prace. Having already experienced producing your own effects before in the past I imagine you probably have a better idea than most of us on the way things are run on the back end. Your question is also a good one as well. Something I hope gets answered soon!

    Tell me why?

Well I do magic as a means to entertain people. To inspire, create, and educate. Some do magic as a hobby. To develop dexterity, or hand eye coordination. Others look to it as a way to just be the center of attention among friends, and peers.

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

Those are some good points Rick. Having never published anything myself I freely admit I'm out of my element on how things worked. I thought 40% seemed steep, but since you put it that way it doesn't sound that bad now. I still agree that this Wire is a Win/Win. But because it's such a new...

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

Cesarmadera: Well this will cause you to put things into their proper perspective. Why would you want to become part of their team if you can now just self publish? Somehow I think that if you are good enough, word will get around, and you'll eventually network with them. Anddrei...

    Draven Reflects upon the Wire.

First off I have to give the creative team at Theory11 a huge round of applause for their efforts at bringing into fruition the massive release last night that was "The Wire"; an event four years in the making. With that being said I've got some thoughts about this project that are both good...
