Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable with Jason England

Jason, If you're still answering questions; Do you practice any non-sleight of hand cheating? Like card counting or shuffle tracking? Some of the best card men (Darwin Ortiz, etc) have said that the only skill a cheat really needs to make a living playing cards is riffle stacking. Do you agree...

    Everyone Wants Us to Fail.

The stereotype for magic nowadays is a form of trickery. People think that you are trying to trick them, and so then they try to trick you. Present it as magic, not as trying to make fools of them.

    The Ripper; Performance

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. However I don't find it convenient for before a trick with a four of a kind because it requires a bend. However, it would work well with something like Asher Twist or Twisting the Kings. I'll try to reduce the bend. Thanks for your time everyone. -Corbin

If you want sleights galore then get Revolutionary Card Technique by Ed Marlo. It's a little costly compared to the other ones, and to be honest Expert Card Technique has tons of general sleights.

As much as everyone doesn't want cards, I'd love a riffle-stacking 1 on 1 from Jason England. ;)

    The Ripper; Performance

Thanks man. Usually I don't show the "double backer" as much as I did in the video. But, I see what you mean.

    The Ripper; Performance

Well, if I'm in a rush I just use this as a "quick trick" if I get asked to perform. And yeah I'm still working on keeping the packet square. I can see how you think it's impractical, though. Corbin

    The Ripper; Performance

Hey guys, I just wanted to share my performance of Lee Asher's four card production that he calls The RIPPER. Link removed. Still working on it. A double backed card is split into the four aces. By the way, this is not gimmicked or gaffed. It's completely impromptu. It's something I like to...
