I will buy book collections from estate sales. Sometimes you end up with copies of the same book from printings years apart. I have three different editions of Amateur Magician's Handbook, two different printings of EatCT things like that. It's kinda cool to look at the different books to see...

I own a few of his books as well as some of his props. From like the 1930's into the 60's if you were buying magic, you were buying his stuff. The man knew how to market and make effects. I only know of his 1943 version of the effect.

    Impromptu Out Of This World?

I can't remember Harry's version off the top of my head but I know the Grant version is from 1943. The original OOTW is from 42 and Harry's is from like 62. While Harry's book is good and has some other killer effects in it like the ten card poker deal, it's not worth getting for one effect like...

    Impromptu Out Of This World?

With the Gen Grant version there is no set up. There is no cull. There is no need for an extra deck or a deck switch. It is truly impromptu with any deck that goes straight from the spectator shuffling to you going into the effect.

Also the Gen grant version can be had, legally, for under $5. I know Harry charges the same $90 for the ebook as he does for the hard copy.
