    Obtaining a duplicate signature

The title pretty much says it all. I'd like to find a way to secretly obtain Spectator A's signature on two different cards without their knowledge... Sounds impossible, but I've seen it done before, ages ago. If you have any information, I'd appreciate a PM or a post. Cheers, Ben

    Original Control?

It works... As mentioned before, the action you are doing is just a cover pass, using multiple cards as cover instead of the usual single card. The sleight is not original. On the other hand, I don't see why you would use this as a control to the bottom. It's a lot of work for something...

    Cards to Bottom

Any cull would work. Or a double undercut from a break beneath the card. Or a pass from a break beneath the card. Ben

    Reputation Makers: What's Yours?

You can see, from this post, how many of "our generation" of magician's don't create their own material. And if the majority of you are creating your own material... why are you not performing it? Maybe I'm missing something here. Ben

My Ambitous Card Routine (the new guy)

Quoted. Your double lift needs a lot of work. I would also work a lot on your classic pass before you perform for spectators. Try a classic dribble pass, or maybe a straddle dribble pass. Those are a bit more naturally invisible than a classic pass and/or classic riffle pass. Ben

    Apology

I stopped reading at the end of page 4. CAN WE ALL SHUT THE BLOODY HELL UP, PLEASE? It's because of discussions, arguments, displays of immaturity (whatever you want to call them) like this that I left the boards in the first place. I see no reason why a bunch of people devoted, or at...

    Simple Short Sandwich - Feedback?

I like it. It's almost identical to something me and Danny cooked up a couple of months ago, just jamming. No worries, not saying this is a problem ;) Good job though. As for the revelation, I would suggest doing an Invisible Palm type of revelation instead of just knocking the top King off...

    Reputation Makers: What's Yours?

Any trick can be a "reputation maker". My favorite tricks to perform: -CFB: A signed, selected card is visibly placed in the middle of the deck, which is placed inside the card box. The performer then shakes the box, and the selected card has penetrated the card box and come to the...

    Standard Shipping?

Or... You could just buy the normal deck used in your region. For instance, Bicycles or Tally-Hos. You can buy about 12 decks for $13-$15 at most local superstores such as Costco, WalMart, or the like. Ben

    Sad Newbie

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, as I am tired and did not read the other replies in detail, but try taking a break. Go a few days without touching your cards, then come back to it. I guarantee you that you will see improvement in the mechanics of your card handling. Also, I'm...

What is the name of this one trick?

You mean the trick where the spectator slaps a packet of cards down to the ground, and the selected card is left in your hand? As far as I know, that's not a real "trick" - that is, it hasn't been published by any magician - I also don't think it has ever been 'named'. You control the card...

    Top Shot

A pinky count is just a get-ready; like the thumb count, riffle get-ready, et cetera. There are some good replies on this thread: http://forums.theory11.com/showthread.php?t=8292 It can be learned in the book "At The Card Table", by Darwin Ortiz. Ben

    Easiest switch

This would seem to be a solution to your problem, Dima. Also, you may palm off the top card of the deck, use your main hand to thumb over the second card to show the spectator, then replace the palmed indifferent card and deal it off as normal. If you feel like you want something better...

    Baaah

nasavi&Lents, your attitude and maturity level pisses me off. === In other news: Pretty good performance, I liked it. You can use a BIT more work, but you're darn close to perfect. Incorporate it into an original routine, go outside and perform for someone! Ben
