No, it's due to all those twelve year olds performing effects that they learned from YouTube exposure videos, and performing them half-a***d. People don't put enough time and effort into our art for it to be considered an art by most lay people.

I think magic is advancing too quickly and at an unctrollable rate. The vast numbers of people who do it for a while, then quit to go do skateboardng or something "cooler" than magic, are crazy. While the people like me who have a true love for the art are relatively few. It's been bugging...

Emsleys Count for me. I practice it a lot, and it's probably my favorite sleight. The GHP would have to be next. I don't have it down perfectly yet, but it's slowly getting there.

That effect is Coin Explosion by Dean Dill, in case you're interested in it. I think it is available for purchase, but I'm not sure. If it is, it's either expensive or hard to find.
