    Double-backed Cards Tricks

He means (I think) using the double as a convincer for the DL in the first phase - If you turn over a double say after a tilt (chosen card 2nd, double backer 2st), you can show them one card, replace and turn over the double again. It's just a nice little convincer - although, if's only really...

    What cards would be best?

Remember to click the image to enlargen it (slightly) - but yes, they're small.

If I remember correctly, the Derek Dingle book has been criticised for being written for magicians. Just wanted to put that out there.

    Control

As the above have said. I can't see anyone needing to have two people though.

    Kardwell - Guardians

Yup. If the amount you're buying can be reasonably measured in relation to gross, consider buying from Kardwell. If not, the shipping will kill you. They tried to charge me $60 US as the lowest shipping option for a brick of cards.

http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.php?productid=5904 Close-Up Card Magic, available and in stock if I'm not mistaken ^^ As for the collection, did you mean this? http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.php?productid=7982 So it's in the collection but not CUCM? I'd be glad to help if it could...

    Books, Books, and more Books.

Actually, you're right to bring that up. This is how I see it though: It's Buckley's book. With that in mind, he has so many methods for so many things, there are bound to be things firstly that don't work. I laughed at a few methods, I found just as many appalling compared to alternative...

    Breaking The Ice

Man, you guys all act as though you've never heard the polar bear line... Maybe it's just an American thing but you'd get slapped/scoffed at for such an appalling line down here which is most often used as a very bad pick-up line.

    MYSTIQUE - Review

Well I'm glad that you wanted to help out and contribute to the forum, that's great, but there are some obvious flaws with the review, mainly that it's incomplete and a little hard to read... :S

    Best Queens Video

If someone makes a claim that it's better than the Bucks', I don't know what you'd really expect. No need to be so defensive about it. It was a good performance.

    Colorchange

Ah, true that, I overlooked it, as I don't own Surfaced myself. Thanks for pointing it out. :)

    Colorchange

Unfortunately not. It's a fairly recently released product - and the newest generation of consumers by and large seem not to be able to read. Surfaced was the first time the move has been released.

I would have to say, on the subject of ACAAN, that whilst I haven't read Meant to Be, David Berglas himself described Alain Nu's book on ACAAN "The best treatise on the ACAAN principle I have ever read." That I do have, and it's brilliant. Maximum Entertainment by Ken Weber is a must. Magic and...

    Picking an Audience

It's helpful to be able to read people to a certain degree. A lot of an actor's work involves observing people - try observing people who you sit next to on the bus, work around, people who happen to be where you are, etc... You'll find you can pick up lots of hints of people, where they work...

Or you could peek it :P Good thought, spades. Buckley's Card Control has several nice methods for that.

    Silent Cardini Change

No, what is commonly called the Cardini Change was originally listed in Hugard's Card Manipulations Series 3 as "The Cardini Snap Color Change". So omitting the word colour à la Erdnase Change, Winter Change, etc., technically the name should be the Cardini Snap Change.

    Book Recommendation

I think anything except BFU. BFU is possibly the most overused, written for magicians collection of effects that's an excuse to have hard sleights to impress other magicians with. If you perform something from BFU, the majority of the time it's for magicians and for the sole purpose of stroking...

    Diplopia Question

Ok. Firstly, Diplopia is awesome, definitely get it. But for what you asked for... A spectator thinks of a card. He takes it out of a borrowed deck to show the other spectators, before replacing it. The magician also thinks of a card and does the exact same thing. The deck is handed to the...
