True One Handed Pass With TGDF(Not a switch true pass)

Looks great...and Ironically I was working on about the exact same thing the last few days. Here is what I use mine for. Adding that move to the end of Dan and Dave's Akira cut makes Akira a fully false cut;)

    cambric or smooth?

It really depends on getting used to your cards. I basically disagree at least in part with both of the above posts. I find that for general magic the clumping issues not a huge deal and it won't really effect you until the deck gets REALLY clumpy. Example. There are a lot of modern card move...

    Video Review - Bicycle Zippo's

Two reasons, one a technicality and the other legal. First, the legal. According to a blog post by Jason Brumbalow about a year ago USPCC was going to start labeling all of it's brand name cards "Air Cushion" do to some trademark issues. I think it may have been all tied up with the legal...

    DnD Smith Back No 2's

The one D&D sells is the 2nd edition of the Conjuring Arts Smith Backs. It is not Unique to DnD. The Smiths are an excellent card. I am about to Update the review. Should be a long lasting card. I've never used the Brown Wynns but I believe they use the same stock as the Wynns. Bee Casino grade...

    Video Review - Bicycle Zippo's

Nice review...just FYI. an Air Cushion USPCC deck is a cambric finish. Also All USPCC cards from here on out will be labeled as Air Cushion regardless of the specific variances between finishes.

What would happen if all decks got discontinued?

Crap...I'd have to learn a retention vanish!

Cheack out my awsome original color change

I don't know what these guys are talking about. I thought that was almost as entertaining as watching "Plan 9 From Outerspace."

42! The ultimate answer to life the universe and Mentalism?

Good points. I doubt he was doing a number force since he was demo-ing essentially a boon writer but it is always possible that he is a fan of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and he thought it would be funny to have a friend say "42" as his own in joke....I'd do something like that Oh...

42! The ultimate answer to life the universe and Mentalism?

Okay so I was a sci-fi geek and when asked to think of a number between 1 and 100 I would probably say 42. I was watching two different demo vids for the Super Sharpie and in both two different spectators said 42. Now I figured the significance of 42 was mostly appreciated by a certain...

    Carrying multiple decks around

When I go out and about I generally use a card clip and one deck. If I have a moment during the day to practice I am good to go and if an opportunity for an impromptu performance arises I have quite a range of effects I am prepared to perform with only one deck. When I carry more than one...

    Moves for Move Monkeys

I second By Forces Unseen, third Erdnase, and recommend Richard Turners' ,"Shifs, Hops, and Magical Passes." The Turner One Handed shift is a fun move to practice but will take a TON of practice before it is in any way practical for a performer. What more could a Move Monkey ask for!

Conjuring Arts Smith Back No.2 Bee Deck Review

I would personally buy the Smiths. I like the looks of them and I am growing quite fond of traditional cut cards. That said I have yet to review Deck1s so I can't give you a performance evaluation. A friend of mine mentioned that Deck1s performed very close to Sentinels. I haven't completed the...

Practicing can get really really BORING!

I love practice...but after reading your post I can understand why you are getting bored. You are two structured in practice. Let me be clear, you probably need that structure for a "rehearsal" but that is a different ball of wax. Just grab your cards, coins, or what ever and start practicing...

That is a nice touch...not sure I have ever seen that subtlety before....though I don't really do seconds... Looking good!

    What's in your wallet?

Just got an Infinity wallet. Bloody expensive but very cool! Other than it's marketed features I have some loops and a Greed gimmick. I hardly perform with either but they don't take up much space so WTH.

    Is it just me?

Try videotaping yourself from various angles. Mirrors are good but they really only give you an idea of what someone standing directly in front of you, who is the same height, sees. Video is good as you can get a clearer picture of what people see.

    Finding other collectors...

There are a lot of Magicians around here who also collect cards. If you are serious about card collecting there are a few guys around here who know a bit but if you want to get in with the folks who really know their stuff check out 52plusjoker.org . They are very serious about all things USPCC...
