    Designing your character...

I think D ICE R elaborated the point I was trying to make quite well so I won't dwell much further on it. Just know that I wasn't trying to attack you Louis, just pointing out a flaw that might cause you some grief down the road if you don't at least address it. I'm not suggesting you gain...

    Designing your character...

I am certainly no authority on this and what I have to add is not from expertise but from the fact that I am going through this exact same process right now. With that caveat here is the one thing that I haven't heard yet, (possible I missed it in all these posts??) Your character sounds like...

    Straying from your characters "Power."

Your kidding!...Haha. I have the Manchurian approach but somehow missed the coing bends. I'll have to rewatch the third disk. Pixel is the real tough nut...Great piece of mental magic that I can add to a magic set but comming up with a way to present it in a mentalism performance is something I...

    Straying from your characters "Power."

Thanks for all the advice guys, and sorry it took so long to reply to my own thread.(been busy) My biggest concern is in the nature of my character...at least as it has been emerging lately. The specific effects I'm interested in are my version of Pixel(Which some of you have seen an early demo...

    Straying from your characters "Power."

Okay so I'm really interested in a few PK effects but they don't necessarily fit the "power" my character would have. I present PK as if the energy is actually coming from the spectator and I am just kind of a guide that helps the spec unlock this energy inside them. Never the less, PK is not a...

How do you practice/Keep your moves sharp.

I try to blend it up a bit. There are some core moves and routines that are my work horses so I practice them a lot but you can get in a rut. I try to learn something new to keep my interest up. Also, stepping away from difficult moves and coming back to them works well for me. Last thing. An...

    GIMMICKS vs SLEIGHTS

He may be the first credited with putting it in print though supposedly it comes from an old Italian proverb, "Il fine giustifica i mezzi." Knowing Rome's predilection for pragmatic violence I wouldn't doubt that it dates all the way back to the Empire. ....sorry....that was a Cliff Claven...

    Shuffle and Dealing work

Moves looked really good and very smooth. I jealous...No where near that smooth myself. Only critisism, and it is a small point, but patter would really help with Texas hold'em Demos. Reason being, I have played with a lot of cards in my life, and played a lot of poker as well, but I never got...

    What to practice

I don't agree with you entirely though you have some valid points. I think beginners could get stuck in a rut if they start off with self workers too soon. Once you have some powerful false shuffles and cuts then stacked styled self workers can be devistating. But I still think some basics...

    Mentalism with a Deck ...

You are out of line and you know it. You and I have had some disagreements but always respectful. I wasn't aware of his blog nor was it mentioned in this post. I'm interested in becoming a mentalist.....not a psychic. I have been at magic on and off for 20 years. I have been serious about it...

    Mentalism with a Deck ...

Because I want to know YOUR OPINION! Don't you get it? I do respect the people who have been doing this longer and I am bright enough to figure out who knows what they are talking about from the stupid d Bags. The only problem is that, at least when it comes to the knowledgeable mentalists...
