    Session by Joshua Jay

I don't think it's the same method, but it is what Joel based his off of. That's why it's called Quadruple Open Prediction. I'll have to look again to see exactly what it says, but it does talk about Open Prediction a tad. I may have to look into that, though... thanks!

Is There Such a Thing as a Bad Effect?

I don't there is such a thing as a bad effect. Maybe effects that aren't right for what you're doing... are hard, very angle-sensitive, ect. But the only thing this means is you can only perform them in certain places at certain times... it doesn't make it a bad effect, IMO. Well, Killer...

My Thoughts on Magic... In General

I just don't like the fact that he didn't contribute to the thread at all... simply came on, said it wasn't an essay, and left. What does that add to the discussion? Nothing.

    Schwing by Chris Kenner

Thanks guys, and creeper, I'm sorry you feel that way, and maybe it was just the change between the joke in the beginning of the video and the actual performance. But I am glad that you told me how you felt... the only thing you didn't tell me was how to fix it. And Katie, reading that...

    Schwing by Chris Kenner

Well I'm sorry you feel that way. It's just the way I perform. And since we're talking about Chris Kenner, when I posted this I asked Katie Egleston if there was any way Chris could watch it and critique me, as obviously I want to be the best magician I can be... and he said that it was great...

Jmaes- really? I agree with Erik, I couldn't put it down, but I also loved the magic in it.

    New Guardians = Click Bend

Just play with them. All of my decks do this at some point, but it goes away after a little while. Annoying, but unavoidable in most cases.

My Thoughts on Magic... In General

No, it wasn't an essay, but big deal. If you're going to make a big deal over a tiny mistake like that, I think it's time to grow up a little.

    Blaming Your Spectators

I can see where you're coming from, and maybe I'm just weird like that, but to me, everything in a performance is my fault... not only when it's good, but also when it's bad. Just how I am, I guess. But yes, I see what you mean how you can't always control exactly what a spectator will do.

    Blaming Your Spectators

I'm sorry, but it's YOUR performance. If you're going to take credit for all the good things that happen (reactions, good sleights, etc.), you also have to suck it up and take responsibilty of the bad things that happen. Everything should be under your control, and your example should never...

Wow, sounds like a great day. Congrats, man, and enjoy your new stuff!

    Blaming Your Spectators

Your fault. Apparently you didn't explain very well, or you didn't hold their attention while you were explaining, so they didn't know what to do... or you simply picked a bad person to perform for. Still your fault.

    Signed vs Not signed?

Certain tricks, yes, it is more powerful for them to be signed. But for the majority of the effects, it's best to keep your Sharpie in your pocket. It's just not necessary.

    Blaming Your Spectators

I think someone hitting them with a car is taking it WAY out of proportion. We're talking about something that makes the outcome of the effect wrong. That means it goes wrong, but the whole effect is performed. Again, it is your fault if anything goes wrong... DO NOT blame your spectators...

    Blaming Your Spectators

Oh no, I think in a comedy routine it would be fine, but seriously, actually blaming your spectators for the effect not going well is a big no-no in my book. And yes, Night, it's a sad thought. Just adds to my theory that our art is slowly spiraling downward until it will be no more...

    The Pass in the ACR

No, I do not, simply because I think a DL looks just as fair, and is a whole lot easier. Plus there's the fact that my Pass sucks.

Two New Moderators : Welcome Aboard

I understand you get more power as a Mod and all that, but why are you guys so anxious to be one? Is it the power aspect? The feeling that you're "above" everyone else? If I was Bayme, I would have two to three Mods, and that's it. There isn't any need for more, because this Forum doesn't...
