    Control

It sucks that someone out there probably just released Control under a different name, but I'm honestly not surprised. I'm really just surprised it hadn't happened sooner. People have known about Control for a couple years now. It was only a matter of time that if Wayne sat on it long enough...

iTricks reported it a week or so ago. I'm looking forward to it. It's been too long.

Do you want an "Off Topic Forum" Vote!

I'd really like an off-topic forum. There's another non-magic related forum I've been a regular at for a few years and it's through the off-topoc section that I've really gotten to know the people there. An off-topic forum, I think, helps build a real community. I mean, when I get together with...

Does it say when it's coming out? December?

    Thumb Tip

The TT is great. Yes, it's overexposed, but if you use it in a non-conventional way it can still slay people. I use it for a bill switch (Visi-bill by Richard Sanders) and a signed torn and restored sugar packet (Sweet and Lower by Richard Osterlind). Use it right and it an still rock an audience.

Excellent. I can't wait. I hope it's in time for Christmas. I'm a teacher and I have a long break coming up, and I'd love to spend it with Control.

    Shadow Masters!

I guess I'm the only person not interested. I don't like strange cards, and these cards look really strange. Am I the only one who sees the irony in the following scenario? Spec 1: "He's using a trick deck." Magician: "No, I'm not. These are just normal cards." Spec 1: "No they're not. I've...

    Stained Skin Teaser

I'm not planning on getting it as it's not really my style, but I'll wait and see the actual demo and read some reviews before I make my final decision. Right now it's just looking like different card revelations, and I have more than enough good card revelations as it is.

This is my College Essay on Magic & Art...

There's some good stuff in there. As an English teacher/grad student in English I hope you don't mind if I throw out two suggestions. You need to follow up the quote with a point. Ending a paragraph on a quote is a no-no. Bring it together. The metaphor is a bit convoluted. Strive for clarity...

TnR by Mathieu Bich : See the Teaser

It looks beautiful, but I still have a lot of big questions I need answered before I decide to buy or not. - What does the tearing phase look like? - Is it gimmicked? - What are the angles like? I'd also like to know what the difficulty level is like, because right now I'm using T&R...

In Search of Street Magic By: Jamy Ian Swiss

I'm with you on that one as well. I recently noticed, when I took a very long hiatus from attending my local IBM mettings, visiting online forums, even just hanging out at my local magic shop, that my magic and my love for it got much better and much stronger. Odd, huh?

In Search of Street Magic By: Jamy Ian Swiss

I thought it was a great read. He wrote a really thorough, well-thought out article, and argued all of his points very well. Of course, I don't agree with anything he said, but it was still a good article. His stance does come across as that of an old curmudgeon though. He's trying to define...

    Control is Coming

I cant wait for Control. The last two things I still dont have in my repertoire that I set out to learn a while ago are a good pulse stop and a good book test. I've picked out The Brook Test for my book test, and Control for my pulse stop. Can't wait. Been waiting a while for this. Hope it's out...
