Actually, I love Penn and Teller, and I do realize that most of the methods they expose aren't real. I was speaking from the views of most people, though. If you walked up to someone and asked them, they wouldn't have a clue that Penn and Teller didn't reveal the actual methods.

I know Criss Angel doesn't. There have been reports of him being shooed away by women because he was dirty.

I agree, that is another way to deal with a heckler. Give him the deck or whatever prop (hopefully non-gimmicked) that you are using at the time, tell him to perform the effect, and step aside.
