If it was me in your shoes, I'd buy a cheap brick of bikes to practice with and burn through (Here in Canada, bricks go on sale for $9 often.). But I enjoy the custom decks so I would buy a small variety rather than a brick of the same with the extra money you have.

Not to mention there are tons of free and inexpensive tutorials on the marketplace here! Use that as a resource!
