    Jerry's Nugget - Faded edges

They look ugly with the cut edges and black mark

Are magicians too worried about who is doing this move?

I agree with Lucas, if we keep using the same sleight, the audience will know that it is 'the move' to control the card to the top. Imagine a 30 minute long card routine where the magician keeps repeating the double undercut over and over again. Boring!

    Just Thought I Would Share

I find myself in the similar situation as you. My friend asked me to sign up for auditions for next year's orientation night performance for the new students and wants me to perform on stage. I have never perform on stage before but I decided to give it a go. I'm still in the process of writing...

    My Latest Creation

Come on, don't spoil the trick for others. If you had a duplicate 10 of clubs instead of the 9 of spades, it would be a nice transpo trick. As hector_cervantes mentioned, what has the 9 of spades got to do in the trick?

Saturday Night Contest - Roundtable with Michael Hankins

    1. What do you think of the growing number of card hobbyists in the magic community? 2. How do you apply color changes to your routine? 3. What are the steps you go through when you create a sleight or trick?

Josh Funk - "Breathe" Live May 2008

I've been searching for this song since Dana Hocking released the "Control" soundtrack and I came across this link in Josh Funk's myspace. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6sgn4hDLIs In the video, you can catch a glimpse of Wayne Houchin playing the keyboard. ;) One of the performances in...

    Bluff Pass

To those who know the bluff pass, does it matter if your right index finger curls in when you grip the upper packet while doing the move?

    360 degrees

Ah,I just remember Aaron Fisher's tip to relax the hand by my sides. However,I was performing while sitting at the table, hence I couldn't keep my hands at my sides, they had to be on the table. I never fiddle with my cards and in truth, my break was not seen during my performance. The only...

What does your deck say about you?

That's a well written post, I like it :) I've started learning magic about a year and a half ago, and I have been trying to find the deck that suits me best since then. At the moment, I use Black Ghost 2nd Edition from E for both magic and flourishing. Some people complain that these cards have...

    360 degrees

My pinky break and thumb break are slightly less than 0.5cm, is that too large? I know misdirection, larger actions and physical cover can cover these problems. But large actions can't be carried out so often especially when there isn't a need for me to do so. Physical cover does work (like...

    360 degrees

Hi everyone, I just came back after performing for a group of friends. I have never been in this situation before, where I am surrounded by people almost 360 degrees around me at the table. I met several obstacles and I would like to listen to your opinions. Firstly, how do you perform...

    Cardistry Club - Please Help

I had the exact same idea to start a magic/flourishing club in my school. But I concluded that most of them will not spend alot of time learning the tricks and they will reveal it to others; therefore you shouldn't start a magic club. As for flourishing, I'm not sure if many students will join...

6 Bluff Shifts :: Joshua Jay

Yeah I agree that the first shift is similar to Aaron Fisher's nowhere pass. But damn, that is one sweet colour change:)

    Fruit Magic Effects

Thank you all for the useful information. I'll spend some time to research on these effects before I decide which to use for my presentation.

    Fruit Magic Effects

Hi guys, I was wondering if there are any fruit magic effects in the market. I have an upcoming presentation about obesity and healthy lifestyle in 2 months and I hope that I can learn a fruit magic effect to entertain the examiners halfway through my presentation. Thanks in advance.

    "Be Kind" Change and Vanish

It took me a minute to figure out the password :( That's a smooth color change, however, I guess that this change has some angles to watch out for.
