    Beginner Cardist.

Try using bicycle rider backs for practice. Couple of reasons for this: 1. They're cheap. I bought a brick of them for $12 or so. 2. They're decent for pretty much everything - glossy enough for fanning, hold well enough for cuts, etc...

    Thumb Issues?

If you use just half a packet for a thumb cut you can do it simultaneously with both hands.

    The 1 Hand Card Spring

mmk then. Corner grip sounds good. Where could I find a tutorial for this flourish?

    Children

Try the Ultragaff deck. Imagine what the kids will think when you "accidentally" smear your fingers across the face of the deck. Or think about how the kids will respond when you show the kings have disappeared from their normal cards and appeared all together. Best of all, you can use...

Really like your flourishes and tricks, especially Angle Zero and Lethal. Hope I'll be able to learn these eventually when I purchase the DVD. Thanks for accepting my request as well!

    The 1 Hand Card Spring

My question: does this flourish use the traditional spring grip (thumb and fingers in the middle of the short ends) or does it use Jerry's corner grip? If this is exposure could someone tell me where to find a tutorial for it. Thanks.

    Double backed gaff cards

Right now I have a bunch of these, since they come for free in custom decks and stuff. However, I can't think of a way to use them. How can these cards be used effectively? Thanks, Jazzhand1

    So, is there a balance?

Since I do both flourishes and card magic, I thought I'd ask this question: What's the balance between doing card flourishes and doing card magic? Don't get me wrong and stuff, because I love both, but in other words, how much flourishing is appropriate in card magic? It seems to me...

Secrets Draun from Underground by Steve Draun

Does anyone know anything about this book? It looks great but I'm not sure about the level (beginner, intermediate, etc) of what's taught in it. If you could give me some info about this book I'd greatly appreciate it. ~Jazzhands1

    Most agrivating flourish?

Well, of course, if your arm is flat like a pool table. Mine is not. It's round. Not to mention that I haven't even mastered the basic arm spread and turnover.

    New to Cardistry/Flourishing? Click here!

Xtreme Beginnerz is a great place to start. In my opinion it teaches XCM "essentials" such as one handed cuts, spreads, turnovers, and many more things to help you create your own routines.

    Flourishes with only 1 card...

Thanks for all the suggestions, but...by 1 card I meant only 1 card only. For example, the deck spin wouldn't be one card only since it requires the deck. And I'm not sure if long distance spinner can be done with only 1 card. Okay, to give an example pretend that you lost 53 cards in...

Hey D&D. I recently ordered Tricks from the Trilogy, and I have to say, it is amazing. The tricks get such great reactions, the sleights taught are soooo useful, and the DVD looks great! I enjoy Tivo 2.0, Subway, Card to Mouth, Deja Vu, and...actually, I enjoy the whole DVD! Anyway, you both...

    Memories

The lighting was weird but the changes were great.

    Collectors

I assumed you were talking about the Dan and Dave version. They have a 3 card version, found in Nursery Rhymes 1, and a 2 card version, found in the Trilogy (and also found in Nursery Rhymes 1, but taught better in the Trilogy). Those are the only versions I know.

    Most agrivating flourish?

Besides all those Dan and Dave cuts, I would say that the Giant Arm Spread and Turnover is difficult, since I have such a fat arm.

    Flourishes with only 1 card...

What are some flourishes that can be done with only one card? Right now I can only think of the basic card spin.

Which do you prefer - Tivo Transpo or Tivo 2.0?

Besides the fact that Tivo 2.0 is easier for me, I prefer it because the change is done in plain sight, without dribbling cards and other messy stuff. Just my opinion.

    Collectors

Or you could just use the 2-card variation of Collectors. It's easier to remember and easier to perform.
