    Las Vegas Clipped Cards

Got some clipped bee's at the 99 cents store. They don't really cut or fan well. Perfect if people want to play card games though, they won't get destroyed.

    Worst Cards

heh I think they were talking about the cheap, clear plastic cards you find at Mcdonalds or Walmart...the supposedly "waterproof" kind of cards

    Geek Magic... Definition?

so someone who wears glasses and a pocket protector has nothing to do with geek magic?

    Geek Magic... Definition?

A question that's been on my mind lately: What's the definition of "Geek Magic?" in other words, what makes this kind of magic geeky? Is it because only geeks perform it or something?

    Color change

Duck change all the way. And shapeshifter and ego as well.

    D&D Trilogy - Queens

I see...if someone could PM me about the finger differences between teh cardini and ego changes I'd greatly appreciate it.

    What do I do?

You could use tricks that don't rely on well known card sleights. I won't say which but some tricks on D&D's Trilogy don't rely on double lifts and other common knowledge moves.

    Shape Shifter Help

Don't hold the card (you know what I mean) too loosely, or it will spin 360 degrees. In practicing this move, I aimed for ending with the card bulging upwards. I don't really know how this helped me, but I know that it did, and I can do it perfectly now. As an alternative you can put the...

    Everyday cards

Not to flame you, but this is the card magic forum...so wouldn't it be appropriate to choose cards for card magic?

    The Queens

In my opinion the Queens is better suited for magicians who do flourishy type magic. I'm one of those, which is why I enjoy this trick. Obviously magician purists will have different opinions than me.

    Everyday cards

Bicycles all the way. I suggest bicycle regular rider backs. Here's why: 1. Rider backs are normal cards. A spectator is more likely to suspect a Ghost or Shadowmasters deck of being a "trick" deck rather than a normal bicycle deck. 2. They handle well both for magic and for flourishing...

    The Queens

I liked it, although the camera was pretty bad. Nice production at the end.

    D&D Trilogy - Queens

For some reason I never learned the differences between the cardini and ego changes. Is there a major difference, or do they look basically the same?

    Flourish tutorials

For sybils anyway - I find that many of the tutorials on the internet are better for making my own cuts rather than just copying them. Unless it's especially cool. And copyrights: personally, I think that tutorials are fine for must-know flourishes, like the classic fan, charlier cut, etc...

    Tivo 2.0

Not another exposure thread... anyway, just practice a lot, it will come to you.

1-on-1 - It's that time of week again!

hope the 1 on 1 is free again... Maybe the Rear Palm? No idea.

    Hardest Flourish?

What do you consider to be the hardest flourish? (you don't already have to know it ;-D) I consider the Lepaul spread to be one of the hardest, just because it's so hard to get down an even spread and to learn to riffle cards off one by one. (flaming time...i think?)

    LePaul Spread Questions

So is the U Lepaul spread an upside down U? My problem is that my S spread is based upon more on the glossy finish of the cards rather than riffling the cards off the fingers. That's why I'm still working on the U spread.

    Street Magic (kind of)

(this is just my opinion - so....you know what I mean.) For my impromptu performances I use Tivo 2.0, Subway, Card to Mouth from the Trilogy, Stigmata, Mercury Aces, ACR, and Out of This World. It's fun to have variety of tricks that don't rely on just double lifts, glides, and other well...
