    t11.bulletin - Cardistry Collaboration Contest 2011!

Starting in 2008, and inspired by an idea hatched by Richard Z on Decknique, we held an annual competition for groups of cardists around the world to participate and make a collaboration video. Tonight, we welcome you to the Cardistry Collaboration Contest 2011, and this year, we want you to...

    bottom deal grip

Getting used to old decks is very good advice, and I was actually going to throw that idea in, but you beat me to it! Most of real poker games with friends will have old decks that have been used numerous amounts of times. Get used to different condition decks by practicing with decks on this...

    bottom deal grip

Sabor, I think he is addressing that the bottom card sticks to other cards because of pressure and his sweaty fingers. Erdnase92, When I'm in deep practice my hands start to get a bit sweaty because I've been doing it for a while, and this is when i find that the cards stick together more...

    BlueCrownMagic.

I have one and have worn it quite a bit, and it's super comfortable! I love it. Make sure you get it by Saint Patricks Day so you have something green to wear! That's what I will be wearing on Thursday. :)

    Miller Shift Variation Feedback

Joey, Here is a video of myself demonstrating the move the way I just started practicing it. I'm a bit rusty as I haven't been doing it for a while (you got me back into it :) ), however I hope this shows that I can actually do the move. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jffH1f4wbU

    A big problem..

I meant don't stop as in don't stop doing magic as a whole and completely forget about it. My wording may not have been the best, but I meant to keep on doing magic, but on the side (I get to that further into my post, like you quoted). I realize that I shouldn't have worded it in that way, so I...

    Miller Shift Variation Feedback

Very nice Joey! I love practicing this shift, and I love to see someone do it justice! Just a couple of things that I want to mention: 1. What bugs me about this shift is that you have to rotate the top stock to shift the packets. Even though this is a very minor thing, and I don't have that...

    A big problem..

Shades, I am very sorry to hear that your parents are strictly limiting you to your lifestyle and what you choose to do. To anyone, this is extremely unjust and it's, of course, terrible for anyone passionate about the art of magic to face. You will have roadblocks that will challenge and push...

    Stay strong Japan.

Ok guys, The main point in this thread was to raise awareness about the large earthquake that struck Japan. If you could leave some time out of your day to donate and help the people over there, I'm sure it would mean a lot to them. Here is a link to donate...

    Cardistry - What's The Point?

OK kids, time to settle down your fire. Please answer the original questions as stated in the original post and keep it on track. If you dont have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. Keep it civil. And in the words of MagicJohnny8Ball, "KEEP IT MAGIC, KEEP IT REAL!"

    Cardistry - What's The Point?

In my original post, I didn't mean that I had a problem. The question was interesting and it was the first time someone has asked me that. I just thought it was a good topic for discussion. And like I had predicted, it is indeed! I'm loving all of the responses on what all of you have to say...

    Those reactions, what are those?

Do I want to be like David Blaine and get HIS people's reactions? No. With that said I agree with pretty much everything that has been said above. :)

    Cardistry - What's The Point?

Cardistry IS art. It combines the words "Card" and "Artist". The way the cards move is however you want them to be, and to me and almost everyone else in the community would think the same. Would you also think Magic itself isn't an art either? You're also playing with cards. For example, a...

    Cardistry - What's The Point?

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've started a thread (away from SNCs and New Releases). I brought my cards to school today to do some cardistry in my free time. After finishing work, I would bust them out and practice the new moves from Genesis v2 :) , and other moves. As I was in the...

    Angle Zero Locations

I've always done Angle Zero on a clock if I could. I always liked the "point in time in which it vanished" plot that Madison gave on his DVD. It freaks people out every single time. If not a clock, I would plant it on a spectator. Killer reactions! I love this effect.
