Heya, guys. Ok, it's finally December, the month of candy canes from a chubby guy pretending to be Santa (but we all know the real Santa is Eugene Burger).

It seems to me as we grow older time flies faster and the street lights we pass become a blur. As we grow older so much more happens and so this thread topic is about our past year of 2010 and our best accomplishments.

For me right now it has to be meeting and speaking with Mr. Jeff McBride, Eugene Burger, Chris Kenner (my idol), and my new friend Justin Kredible (because he is just incredible) and last but not least Mr. George Parker who I thought was a bit weird because he kept winking at me but then I realized he was just European. Anyway, my greatest success in the past year is meeting these people and becoming a member of the Magic Castle.

Next year will be completely different. I hope to get the check mark to perform and get paid in the close up gallery at the castle in January and make at least a grand in my magic career.

But this isn't quite about me. It is about you guys.

What have you done in the past year and what are your goals for the next year. I would love to hear them and I'm sure everyone else will too.

Have a good one, avec a candy cane,

–Anna Harris

Edit: this thread is also for all and any theory11 staff. I would love to hear from you too.

This year I have taken magic to a more serious level. I have worked hard. developed some pretty great ideas. Next year... I will have next to no magic in my life... but hopefully I will have sometime for something!

This year, I have stripped back my magic to concentrate on card table artifice, primarily the Erdnase techniques. Also, I have laid the groundwork for a new "move monkey" website which we should launch next year (the details on that will be revealed first on the T11 forums, so look out for that!).

Outside of magic, I've started a production company with my girlfriend, which has got a music video on TV in the UK, and launched an online "urban music and culture" magazine. Through that, I've been lucky enough to meet and interview a lot of interesting people in music, comedy, and magic. The business has been growing steadily, ready to explode in a fountain of music videos and new media in 2011.

So, next year, my aims are to build up the online magazine, launch the magic site, meet some more of my heroes, and raise the levels with our productions. If all goes to plan, we should have a documentary and several music videos on TV by the end of the year.

In 2010, I got back into magic and am loving it more than ever before. I am a way better magician than I used to be. I also joined a local magic club and met some great people. I will be going to that monthly! As far as next year, I plan to stick to my magic club and attend every month. I have high hopes of meeting some truly amazing people (should be meeting Ammar in February), and getting to know the ones I have already met on a more personal level. I also plan to perform more, and perhaps start making money performing magic!

Hello Anna...

You are a Copycat...hehehe..I also met Jeff Mcbride and he visited my city twice in this year and I was fortunate enough to be with him twice...even have dinner with him in one of those visits (we had Tacos btw and I mean real tacos...no taco Bell)

I am saying this because I have never met a magician in person that inspired me...until I met him, he showed me that I still have a lot to learn, but that I am in the right road, the first visit there was a gathering of magicians here in my town and I got greatly dissapointed, they were so outdated and criticized all I was doing (mentalism, flourishing, not dressing with tuxedo) and I decided I wanted to set the new standards in magic in my city, town and country in the future

Right now, I have to learn and improve lots of things...like making my show bigger...developing a stage show, geting a new appeal (dressing, makeup, body language even the way I talk), learn new magic, read lots of books, even taking the Master Class at Magic and Mistery school...

In architecure I want to continue working in the firm and win 2 design contests that I entered, in my personal life...I want to continue improving myself both physically as mentally, maybe even learn German (according to Justin Bieber, that doesn`t exist)

This year I learned and improved in a lots of things magic wise...I did my first stand-up shows...I learned mentalism and I worked in restaurants...even associating with a very important entertainment company here...it`s been a long way...but I am not even halfway...

This year has been about the same as the last as far as performing frequency goes, I'm working more now (yay second job...neither as a magician) but still find time to practice and perform. I have been creating more this year than I have in years past...lack of money to buy new products will do that to you.

As far as next year, assuming I make it through these 13 days working one day off sequences I might try and cut my hours and get work as a magician. Probably not in that order, but we'll see.

I've (almost) read the entirety of the Harry Potter series (first time for everything) as well as numerous other books that have both confused (Chaos) and delighted (Odd Thomas Series) me as I read them. That's right, I'm not only educated enough to read books (that aren't magic related) I exercise my right to do so.

I also bowled a 255 on Wii bowling the other day, I was happy.

To recap: More original magic, same amount of performing, next year I plan to increase the performing and possibly get paid doing so.

:)

I think I've had a lotta awesome things happen to me this year!

In magic, I expanded my magic by learning many new sleights and even some coin magic! I also have been studying strong magic and my history book on magic :). I also did my first paid gigs ever!

Outside of magic a lot has been happening! I will be getting a new house and dog very soon! I worked my first paid job, and bought a cellphone! I can't think of anything else, but these are definitely the big points!
