This is the why the man has achieved such success. Copperfield did this after either his 3rd or 4th television special as well. He didn't like the direction his image and his reputation was taking and he revamped himself to be the iconic figure he is known for today.

Changing is such a big deal for many artists...not just magicians...in this particular case a change was nedded...but I think when you are doing things that are right and you are getting gigs, fame and attention...I don`t think you need to change...I think you need to evolve...which is different...keep the things that work and discard the things that doesn`t...also poliss the things that are working and learn new things...

Luis, as for evolving, I have a saying that I go by, "Learn. Adapt. Evolve.". I think it relates well to magic.
