I'm a college student and don't know what I want to do as far as a career. What could I do to where I could be able to integrate magic or what should majors should I pursue that would help me along with a magic career?

First, you should be talking to a career or educational advisor about this, not the internet.

Off the top of my head, careers that could use magic: Theater, writing, marketing, filmmaking..

As for majors, well, major in whatever you're interested in. You'll put far more effort into the subjects if it's something you're already passionate about. In many cases just having a degree is more important than what the degree is.

Teaching, public speaking, training in various industries, professional magician, kids programs, teen programs, are some off the top of my head.

In terms of university direction, Theatre major would impact your magic like nothing else. It would be by far the most impactful courses you could take. Also with a degree (In anything) you can get higher paying jobs and will have more job options in many fields.

I wouldn`t do that...

I feel unless you want to do magic as a career, chossing a career for the reason that you could use the magic with it...it`s a mistake..

chossing your hobby above your career is the worst thing you can do...besides having a career aside from magic will provide you with more choices and you won`t starve to death...

1st of all. Where in illinois?

I'm with most. Get a degree in something you love. Morgician told me that the fact that he had a degree, opened up presentational possibilities. Knowledge is power in this hobby. so Learn something you can get into. like ChristopherT said.

You also want a degree in something because Magic and anything entertainment related is a hard field to work in and a lot of performers have another job that helps pay the bills more.

You need something to fall back on.
