Casino Failed

So, tonight I was at a Casino and winning some $. All of the sudden a new dealer steps in and was moving so fast I couldn't see his hands (it was blackjack). So, I asked him to slow down. Guess what, he didn't slow down. So I asked again. Nope. He as a dealer could not slow down. So, I got a little pissed off. And, everyone there thought I was out of line. Then I went to another table and did a coin sleight with a chip. At that point, no one there liked me and I got kicked out. So, why wouldn't the original guy just slow down a bit? (After I asked twice).

Why did you want him to slow down anyway ? Did you suspect him to cheat ? Well if that's the case I kind of understand he didn't slow !
And maybe, as you were winning money, the casino wanted to disturb you in your playing, which obviously worked !

Maybe they bring him in to mix things up by changing up the speed of the game so it throws off card counters....just a thought.
A lot of times when tables are too hot the dealers change.

im gonna say this once. THE CASINO ALWAYS WINS!! and it doesn't have to cheat. Gaming regulations are so strict and watched that cheating dealers simply dont exist anymore. Its not worth the risk to a casino who can have their license revoked if they dont watch carefully enough. That said, the casino does no how to work a player. They probably purposefully switched dealers which has a tendency to mess with players heads, and by no means is a dealer required to go at your pace. In fact he was probably specifically picked for his faster pace in comparison and most are instructed not to alter their dealing manner at a players request as this is suspicious and not what the pit bosses want.

dealers are expected to keep the games moving. Many players hate those who slow it down. The more hands played, the more odds are actualized. As all games favor the house, this is to their advantage.

The dealer was not cheating you.

The dealers rotate on a regular schedule.

The house does not care about you as an individual player and does not have practices I place to 'throw you off'.

Would you walk into mcdonalds and ask that they cook and bring you your food more slowly?

I have no idea what you were trying to prove with a coin sleight, other than that you weren't there to gamble.

They are there for gamblers. You were waisting their time.

Casinos regularly deal to groups of magicians and world class, known to them, sleight of hand artists.

In spite of the 'banned' nonsense you see in some magicians advertising, they really don't care.

I would encourage you to look at your behavior and determine how you were disrupting their BUSINESS and then you'll know why you were asked to leave.

One you're an idiot for doing a coin slight at a gambling table AFTER causing a problem at a previous table. Your damn lucky getting thrown out was the only thing they did to you.

With that being said, the dealer has complete control over the table. If your asking him to slow down it could be interpreted as you trying to cheat. You should either just accept it and go with it, or move to another table.

All in all I think you could have been a bit smarter about how you handled that.

HHAHA

Actually cheating dealers do exist, just recently there was a team with an inside dealer caught at the Singapore Resort Casino.
Casinos win by matters of math, some call it cheating some call it a business.
Why the heck are you doing sleight of hand with chips?!?!?
3 casinos in europe were hit by a past posting team and casinos are getting tougher and tougher on anything they suspect with their chips.

I do a fair bit of card counting at local casinos, but I have never had a problem with "fast dealers", a fast dealer can't really put off card counters, cause card counters only start "counting" when the cards are finally dealt.

Sirfansalot, its your fault, if you are going to do sleight of hand at casinos (you should not), you better know what you are doing.

While dealers have been known to cheat, established corporate casinos would not tolerate a cheating dealer in any context. The reputation of the casino would be destroyed and that would do far more damage than any one player could muster.

Yes, dealers will sometimes be employed by outside teams, but they are not being used to cheat YOU, but the house. And if you know some of the techniques (and I'm not talking about sleight of hand)they would use, you would know why it probably wasn't happening in this instance.

Besides, unless you were playing a grand a hand, do you even think they knew you were there until you opened your mouth?

First of all, what table limit were you at?

Any good card counter would not have a problem with a fast dealer, and that being said, would not be at a low limit table to start with.

The reason for the fast dealing is simple. The faster you deal, the more hands per shift you get to deal. The more hands you deal, the more potential for getting tips.

Simple as that. Telling him to slow down is the same thing as telling him, "I want you to make less money so I ca be happy."
